Make channel notifications default "yes"/ "active"
I recently transferred into a new position and was added as a member to over 25 channels. Then, I had to manually set all notifications, hoping I didn't inadvertently skip any. Too much work, would rather get them and not need them, then not get them and have to remember to go look for bold areas, not knowing which update came in first, second, etc. Also, as the owner of channels with membership numbering in the 100's, I would like to know that all my members at least should have been getting real-time notifications about important posts.

This is why all the users prefer the unstructured chat, rather than structured Teams and Channels.
Without the change, we've just replaced Whatsapp with Teams Chat. There would be so many more benefits to using Teams and Channels if we had this feature.
This needs to be on by default and the admins need the ability to control the settings
"I agree COMPLETELY. This same request has been requested in other UserVoice threads. Is there any reason not to allow administrators to make sure users get notified? (1) Notifications should be ON by default. (2) Administrators should be able to turn on notifications for all users for each channel."
I support this! We can't rely on everyone turning notifications on and unless they do, channels just won't get used.
It's also a huge waste of time to ask hundreds of people to do this - when the admin should be able to do it for them.
Fine for them to then be able to switch notifications off, but the should be on as default to start.
My team have even talked about other platforms as workaround - those of us coming from Slack are really missing it.
