See participants while sharing screen
Currently, participants can see others while the screen is shared. But the presenter cannot. I would like it to be able to see participants while sharing my screen.

Yes, please, please, PLEASE fix this. I need to share my screen and see my students simultaneously. In order to show video on my mac, I can only do it through sharing my screen. (I have scoured the internet for a work around, but have found nothing.) On the day I have video clips to share I have to run powerpoint through teams, stop the powerpoint, share my screen (at which point I can no longer see my students or read the chat), stop sharing, open up powerpoint, repeat. This makes for a clunky presentation. Please do something about this. Please.

Switching from WebEx to TEAMS. Big surprise this feature is not available. I just read and confirmed the workaround using ALT TAB. That is a good alternative.

This requires an amount of pre-work with other participants in a business setting - identifying someone else to 'drive' the presentation for you so that you can see the reactions of at least some of the participants in the normal view. If you don't do this step, you're not able to see anyone which is ridiculous, relying on text messages from your peers that someone looks confused, or is trying to talk but on mute - all things you should be able to see as a presenter. Fix this please! Even seeing the small filmstrip at the bottom would be an improvement

I’m frustrated that I can’t do this when I’m teaching. I’m annoyed that we have a voice here but it appears to fall on deaf ears. Stop developing things we don’t need and focus your efforts on sorting out the basics please. Thanks.

I have actually had to stop using Teams for video meetings were I am presenting and continue to pay for a Zoom license. It is impossible to present and engage others when you can't see everyone's reaction.

Please, please add this feature. It is so challenging to present and not see the participants.

I don't understand that why it is not a feature yet. It is highly requested one!

It's so necessary to maintain a connection - as tho' one was in an auditorium. Zoom has this (and many other features - breakout rooms). When is Teams going to catch up? Thanks!

I have tried the tip from Lindsey with the ALT and TAB - but the participants can still see it as well. Or am I doing something wrong?

I'm not sure why this isn't a possibilty yet but for giving lessons or presentations this would be an must have feature.

Its October. And Microsoft has no solution to the problem almost everyone faces. I face the same problem when presenting to clients. My wife faces the problem when teaching pupils.
Is anyone at MS listening?

I have been unsuccessful seeing students as well while sharing the screen. Lindsey I will try what you suggested (although not completely clear on it). SOOO disappointed that someone at Microsoft hasn't figured this out!

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO SEE MY ENTIRE CLASS WHILE I SHARE!!!!! ALT TAB until you get to the separate team meeting screen. It doesn't affect the share screen at all!! Hope this helps all teachers everywhere! I just make sure that the team meeting screen is smaller than the share screen so I can click between the two. The kinders only see the share screen . . . not me tab browsing.

As a classroom teacher who works with teaching assistants, we need to see our students under different formats and situations (whole class, small group interaction, 1-on-1 reinforcement). We also need for them to see us, as indicated in previous messages.

This is very important if the person sharing the screen is also facilitating. They need to see who is still in the meeting to see who they can ask questions or to speak to something on the screen. GoTo Meeting does this and my company moved to using Teams instead of GoTo until we discovered the facilitator screen sharing can't facilitate as well, now we have to weigh the pros and cons of Teams vs GoTo again.
