See participants while sharing screen
Currently, participants can see others while the screen is shared. But the presenter cannot. I would like it to be able to see participants while sharing my screen.

It would be very helpful to see the children I am teaching whilst sharing my screen.

It is essential to see participants when you teach, whilst sharing a screen. Zoom do it, why can't you?

This is needed urgently for teaching young children remotely.

It is needed as soon as possible. Teachers need that!

I bought a second monitor because I wanted to use this feature. Turns out that Teams does not support this..

I think teams are losing business to Zoom over this issue. I'm surprised they haven't sorted out such a basic need yet.

I tried the 2 monitor suggestion below and it works fine. Once you are sharing, just go to the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and hover over the Teams icon until it shows all the active Teams windows - just click on the one showing all the participants and you have all the options back again: you can see all the participants plus the participants list for raised hands, you have access to the chat etc.
So, thank you to anonymous below although I don't know why I didn't think to try it before anyway. -

I found something that worked for me but requires 2 monitors. Start a meeting and then put that on my secondary monitor. Then screen shared on my primary. It worked so that I could see the participant list and group of people. it's still a little limiting depending on the size of the group, but at least it will show a smaller group who recently spoke.

It is a basic feature in Zoom, so I'm sure it is technically feasible.

This feature is urgently needed. Microsoft, please advise when this will be available.

Hey Microsoft,
I hope you are listening. Elementary teachers need to be able to see their students faces while in the share screen mode. We need this ASAP. Really doesn't make any sense that participants can see each other during the screen share, but the presenter can't see the participants. I would never leave my 3rd graders in a classroom unattended in a brick and mortar building. Microsoft, don't you realize that elementary teachers are really leaving their students unattended in the virtual classroom when they have to use share screen? You need to take this seriously. This is a security and safety issue as I am unable to monitor my students. -

The lack of this basic functionality is inexcusable for a meeting platform.

I have just used Teams to present - because my client uses Teams. I assumed my inability to present and see the attendees at the same time was due to my incompetence. I can now see that this facility is not available - and no one from MS seems to be listening. I am off back to Zoom,

I don't understand why participants can see everyone at the bottom but not the presenter. Doesn't make sense.
Microsoft are you listening?

Thank you, this function would be so helpful, especially to be able to monitor the chat as a presenter while sharing screen.
