Allow producer to enable Q&A to a Live Event once it has begun
Allow producer to enable Q&A to a Live Event once it has begun.
as a Producer or Presenter, maybe the Q&A panel was not elected during creation of the event. Once the live has begun, it would be ideal o be able to turn on Q&A panel for users.
I inadvertently missed checking the small Q & A box when setting up the Live meeting. Unfortunately, we had to come up with a last minute workaround since Teams does not allow you to add Q & A after the meeting has started. It doesn't make sense the meeting is required to be ended just so Q & A can be added. Definitely would like to see this feature changed PLEASE.

People make mistakes. Lets give them the tools to fix them in real time and not force them to end a meeting of 1000 people to resend a new link We have to do better.
This happens to us all the time, people forget to enable the Q&A until the live event starts and then we have to accommodate questions via chats to individuals.
Important one from my organisation!
Given that it's so easy to miss this setting when creating the Live Event, this option is definitely needed.
I just had this problem a few hours ago. Luckily our team was great and had questions in the back to use but how stressful to have forgotten to enable the Q&A and only realise when you go live.
It would be great to have it pre-selected when setting up a Live Event as well as have the ability to enable it once a Live Event has started.

Is it possible to have Q&A enabled (checked off) by default when setting up the Event? I didn't see the option for that in the Teams Admin Center nor can I find a power shell command. But, yes, being able to enable it once the Event has started is very important.

Yes please! We had a live event with over 100 people and found out that the organizer forgot to enable the QnAs. Kind of a shame when we announced the audience can place questions but actually they couldn't.
I can understand this to be a more complex implementation given when the event is live this function would have to refresh the interface, it would be ideal of course as people can forget to enable it, especially since there seems to be currently no way to have it enabled by default!
At least allow us to enable it even when one has opened the event but not made it live yet, or even just beforehand within the calendar entry!
WORKAROUND: Delete and Reschedule, Nice!
Both functions are desperately needed, just haven't got much exposure as people/orgs are probably slow to adopt live events for proper webinars and townhalls/department meetings in stead or regular meetings.

I've never tested this but I find it weird that by default Q&A is turned off.
You're saying that if you don't enable it in the booking of the event it won't be available to turn on?
i would think that Q&A would always be enabled but the switch in the booking screen would just turn it of and on the same way as turning it off and on during an event.
