Sound Alert without Banner Alert
I'd like to be able to be notified about a new chat with a sound, but without the banner. When you are in a virtual teams meeting and those chat banners from other chat conversations keep popping up it is distracting. It also gets in the way of when you are actively typing in a current chat when they pop up from another chat.
I've checked settings within teams and with Microsoft and can't seem to find a way to get notified by sound only.

Please make this happen, some of my clients are requesting this feature...

come on Microsoft. how hard to implement this...
Can't beleive MS still didn't fix this major problem (2 years after release of this garbage)
Couldn't agree with this thread more! We need sound notifications without the Banner.
100% agree that Sound & Banner notifications need to be separate. Incredibly distracting during Conference calls and the amount of chatter on a single channel can overload your Desktop Notifications queue
Sometimes if you are screen sharing you don't want people to see what others are sending you.
We need to have sound only option and no banner.
Some people write to you like this
I need some help
When you get time
Its regarding project X
For every little thing they send you get a new banner blocking your screen, its silly this is not separate.

Can we get this implemented ASAP pls... how hard it is to separate sounds from visual notifications.. this is ridiculous
Seriously how is this even a competitive product without this kind of basic qualifty-of-life changes
Yes! I don't like the banner doesn't go away, but if I turn it off, there goes the sound.
A sound notification of an incoming message would be great.
need to be able to have sound without banners, far too distracting to have banners popping up over other applications

This lack of feature is disappointing. We have had instances where chat messages constantly popping up are accidentally displayed in a Zoom meeting. Our customer was not happy.
It's also distracting and counter-productive.

It is very business critical that Microsoft product team should look into this feature request on priority.
Spot on! I dont' see how MS could miss this, given this is teh standard way how Skype for business works !! :-o

This is needed to maintain my sanity!!! If multiple coworkers are sending messages my banners go crazy! But I would still like the sound to let me know I'm getting new messages!
