We need audio and video to be included in the meeting when a PC is connected to the MTR via the HDMI input.

Can we have this implemented please? Believe MS is aiming this at enterprise customers so your product need to support this and not a half-baked solution with video but no audio.

The ability to include audio on the HDMI input is needed. I thought this would be available by now.

Is this still not included in the MS teams MTR's? I just finished installing 8 rooms with MS teams with logitech devices and while testing I noticed it won't share the audio, is it still not included automatically, and can I actually make it worK?

Hi guys, we are Africa's biggest ad agency and we use MTR to share our work. We cant do this without this functionality. Please can we have a timeline when this will be resolved?

When sharing video, it is a big problem that audio is not passed through to the people outside the room. Then needs to be included in a seamless teams experience

Plugging an HDMI cable from a computer to a Teams Room device shares audio and video locally in the room but sound is missing when sharing to the meeting. This is a confusing behavior and needs to be supported. The current method of bringing a computer just to share audio is a half baked solution and is confusing to end users. A wired connection to a device already in the meeting is preferred.

Converters wouldn't work here. The local laptop sharing it's screen via HDMI into the MTR is passing full video/audio into the MTR. The MTR is able to share this into the local room display and audio system. However it is NOT able to share the audio into the Teams Meeting thus creating the local MTR end user participants being able to hear the video but the far end remote participants not being able to hear it. This is purely an application level mishandling of hdmi input sharing. Yes you can add an audio de-embedder between the laptop to MTR connection and reinject the audio separately on a audio system but this is in feasible for small room configurations.

Have you considered buying a new one? It may be owing to the quality of your converter. You've probably bought already a couple of them, lol, however, maybe there are guys here who need help in choosing suitable converter. When I was buying mine, I was consulting with the article providing info on the best HDMI to RCA converters on https://ladi6.com/hdmi-to-rca-converter/ . Besides, this article-guide is really useful: it explains pros and cons of every converter described there and gives brief info about it. Really useful!

It's nice to have the ability to include audio with video while content sharing from the desktop client. This is a feature that is also needed on MTRs. From a user perspective, it is presumed to be possible to share audio content from an MTR as it is from a desktop client. Because it can be heard locally, this adds confusion and gives the end-user a misbelief that the audio is also heard on the far end.
