Create permanent video meeting link in Microsoft Teams
I schedule many videoconferences with people outside my organization (some of them repeated) and the way I do it now is to create a Teams meeting link from my Outlook invitation and then send this to the meeting invitees. I would prefer to create a permanent link that I can always give to people, for example, in an email message, without having to generate a new Teams meeting each time in Outlook.
I considered simply reusing the same link from a previous meeting for subsequent meetings, but it seems that each Teams meeting creates its own space in Teams. So, it seems that people I meet with later would be able to see the names of those whom I met with earlier using the same link, as well as any conversations I might have had with them. So, I don't think this is what I want--I want a link that gives meeting attendees access to only the present, live meeting, with no access to past exchanges using the same link. This is important to respect the privacy of each meeting.
So, I am requesting a feature to generate a permanent link for videoconferences that preserves the privacy of attendees across different meetings using that same link. This is similar to what many videoconferencing services (e.g. Zoom and Whereby) offer.
Note: I already posted this request on the Schools and Universities channel, but I am reposting here for greater visibility: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053-schools-and-universities/suggestions/39869605-create-permanent-video-meeting-link-in-microsoft-t

I need to be able to create a link that is sendable to those outside of my org. I need to be able to see the URL and not just a link. I need the same link avail over and over again. I would love a static link please. The thing that Zoom does that is great is provide a meeting ID and password. That is really easy to give to people to join. Can Teams do something like that please???
That would be very helpful (similar to Zoom), Thanks

Basic feature, Microsoft!
We've been using Zoom for Executive Board meetings but now should be using Teams. However, without a permanent link option I'll remain with Zoom for the time being.

Agree 1000% every other competitor tool has a permanent meeting link option with a custom easy to send link to put into email signatures to meet.
any progress on this?
This is one of the reasons I can't sell Teams in my organization. Zoom has this feature and it is embarrassing every time I mention Teams and Zoom beats it with features.

If Teams wants to be a viable alternative to Zoom, this essential feature must be implemented. It is surprising it is still not available.

This missing feature is keeping my organisation to force to use Webex

por favor es necesario casi en todo se iguala a zoom, pero lo del enlace si hace mucha falta
Easily done with Google Meet, and very handy from everything from quick chats with colleagues to recruitment interviews. There are advantages with Teams, but this feature will be crucial for me and my company if we are to migrate to Teams.

Until this feature is available, we'll unforunately have to stay with Zoom. Please make this available soonest!
This would be a very helpful feature. Our 3rd party construction management web SAAS used go-to exclusively since they can provide a link to an "ongoing" meeting which allowed our consultants to use the web meeting feature at their leisure and at the click of a button... now we can insert whatever web meeting app we prefer and Teams lacks this...

Would love to see this feature available, the external meeting creation process is a struggle with Teams.
This missing feature is keeping my organisation from dropping Webex from the picture.
At the moment the lack of a persistent meeting "room" feature is THE one thing that prevents my organisation from adopting Teams as our only collaboration platform.
Need immediately. Not having this feature is the only reason we keep a gotomeeting account.
LOL only MS would be so bullheaded about this.
Zoom, Webex & Gotomeeting have had this for years. They've figured out how to deal with any "security concerns".
Keeping the competition in business - way to go Teams!
