Create permanent video meeting link in Microsoft Teams
I schedule many videoconferences with people outside my organization (some of them repeated) and the way I do it now is to create a Teams meeting link from my Outlook invitation and then send this to the meeting invitees. I would prefer to create a permanent link that I can always give to people, for example, in an email message, without having to generate a new Teams meeting each time in Outlook.
I considered simply reusing the same link from a previous meeting for subsequent meetings, but it seems that each Teams meeting creates its own space in Teams. So, it seems that people I meet with later would be able to see the names of those whom I met with earlier using the same link, as well as any conversations I might have had with them. So, I don't think this is what I want--I want a link that gives meeting attendees access to only the present, live meeting, with no access to past exchanges using the same link. This is important to respect the privacy of each meeting.
So, I am requesting a feature to generate a permanent link for videoconferences that preserves the privacy of attendees across different meetings using that same link. This is similar to what many videoconferencing services (e.g. Zoom and Whereby) offer.
Note: I already posted this request on the Schools and Universities channel, but I am reposting here for greater visibility: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053-schools-and-universities/suggestions/39869605-create-permanent-video-meeting-link-in-microsoft-t

This would be super useful. Teams is the only VC system that I've used that does not offer this feature. Let's get it built MS Teams team :)
Static/Permanent conf id is one of the most desirable option. This is especially since other populate video conferencing providers (Webex, Zoom etc) are offering.
This is an essential feature. I am a trainer and need to send out invitations to thousands of people, and publish the link to the training space on clients' intranet so people can just join spontaneously.
In the past (with SfB), I have been able to provide a client with "my training room link) which was used by all trainings I ran. Without this ability, we are pretty much unable to use Teams for training.
We at least need the ability to VOLUNTARILY create a "permanent" room... The lack of this ability is driving my clients' training departments nuts!
Any way to merge these 540 votes with the 370 votes here [this is a planned feature, but no update since last year]: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/35772907-implement-the-ability-to-assign-static-meeting-ids
This feature could kill Zoom. Get on it MS!
We need support for meetings with a static conference ID as configurable setting.

This is a good feature to add. We use Teams for virtual meetings here for classes and having a permanent link would be a great asset.
It's totally required to be able to have a persistent personal room.
The major competitors all offer this feature.
For people who are on calls all day, it's convenient ( read required) to have a single URL where the owner can stay on and not switch each hour, and have a known location where the team can find them. If a 'closed room' meeting is needed, the unique / temporary meeting is available.
The reference to history clearing may be nice as a future feature, but should not hold up the core feature.
webex killer, MS what are you waiting for ?
I make youtube live with microsoft team, and would be nice if my teams had always the same link, please fix it
Agreed. I feel like I constantly get asked for this to have to find messy solutions

Absolute must have feature! And the link to the meeting should look like times as shorter.
Just make it looking like https://teams.microsoft.com/meetup-join/<user_id>.
Security concern could be addressed by the meeting host who would allow or reject a guest waiting in the meeting lobby.
This thread can to be combined with:
Further, I would like to be able to send a quick meeting invite to someone to talk right now (in the same way I used to have them "jump on my bridge line"), and having to formally set up a meeting invite for someone outside of the organization is a pain. If my regular contacts just had my link, it would be much easier.
For those concerned with the security risk, the waiting room is the end of most every security threat, especially Zoom-bombing which is why everyone is worried about personal meeting rooms. You can set it up so that you have to admit each attendee.
Jitsi.org use perhaps till this is made by Microsoft, or Zoom indeed.
This is very much required feature
This would be a very good feature for situations, where the same participants are attending multiple meetings regularly (i.e. online course, project, etc.). Hopefully this gets added at some point!
I currently cannot use MS Teams with the 3rd party scheduling application eg Hubspot. I have to use gotomeetings for that purpose, would prefer to allow people to book meetings using Teams.

This is a serious feature Teams is lacking. It makes Teams unable to work with 3rd party scheduling apps.
