iPad support for Teams Room
My company already owns a bunch of iPads for use in our Zoom rooms. It would be great if I didn't have to rebuy hardware.

Not adding this feature can be seen as attempt to block it by their hardware partners.

Is this coming? we have spent a fortune in our teams rooms trying to maker second devices / windows tablets so that they are the meeting control point without cables and cords! If we had a true teams room meeting apps to deploy on intune managed iPads, I can’t tell you how much better the user experience would be! Please make this happen!

Zoom's success is its support for iPad/Android apps for Meeting Room, I hope Microsoft can deliver their iPad app Teams for Room sooner.

This would huge and allow our MSP customers to make this jump - teams is awesome and the product dev team is doing a great job at competing with zoom (and others), but this feature can’t come fast enough!

iPad support as a controller for a Teams room is the only thing holding us back from making the migration at this point. We have Windows 10 compute sticks installed behind each TV and iPads on the tables to control the each room. If we didn't have to throw out the existing hardware, we'd make the jump off of our existing stack to teams

There is a want by customers to be able to switch between zoom and teams - people have a preference and being able to do so via an iPad to do the job would be great. The only way I can find to do it atm is using remote desk for teams.

We had a Microsoft Rep ask us last week if we would like to replace our zoom rooms with Teams Rooms. the answer was straight up no.
Teams Rooms need to run on any windows 10, windows 10 ltsb and idealy windows 10 IoT device.
And needs to be controllable from an iPad or Android device like the Zoom Room controllers, so you can tuck the main computer away in a cupboard/rack somewhere. this idea of the whole room running off one PC that sits on the board room table is at least 10 years out of date. -
