Automatically block incoming calls when you are already in a call or meeting
Please create a setting a user has the ability to change that automatically blocks incoming calls or allows the user to even forward all calls to someone else when already in a call/meeting if applicable. It is very distracting to have my phone ringing while I'm in a call.
Please also see this request to create a specific presence indicator. Currently people have to hover over a user's name to see if the red dot means In a Meeting, In a Call, or just Busy, but no one checks first and just calls. It would be nice to have a visual difference. It also asks that being in a call default to a Do Not Disturb status, which might go in tandem with this request, since that will also block being bombarded by IMs during a call.
I know that there is an administrative option to set for ALL users (busy on Busy), but end users want to have control over this setting themselves. Please implement this feature.
We need a user setting, that when activated, will automatically send a call to VM when we are in a call, in a meeting, focusing, busy or away. It is very distracting to have calls coming in when in a meeting or in another call.

Please create this setting. This is a nightmare for are end users when they are in calls.
You can force Teams to use whatever the user's Unanswered Call rule is (typically, go to voicemail) by using PowerShell. Review this:
Enable Busy on Busy in Teams Admin first, then run the command from PowerShell.
We tested and it worked like a charm. Now, I got a couple of complaints from users who still wanted to be able to see the incoming call, so they didn't like that it went straight to voicemail while they were on another call, but at the moment, this is the lesser of two evils.
I do not want my callers to hear a busy signal, I simply want the call to go to my VM if I am already on the line. The other thing that I really hate is that I have to turn the volume way up so that I can hear the person I am speaking with through my computer speakers but that then is also the same volume level that the incoming call is ringing at. Same goes for meetings. I am in a meeting presenting and all of the sudden my phone starts ringing really loud. This is a basic phone line functionality that I can't understand how MS could let slip through the cracks. Didn't their own team test this system before rolling it out?
Someone already mentioned this, though you can ask your IT Admins to enable "Busy on Busy" in the settings. It's off by default. This will allow them to specify behaviour when receiving a call when you're already in one such as sending a busy tone.
I'm currently doing the same as had the same issue today. Thankfully wasn't presenting

Is there an update on this? We are about to roll out teams voice and this is terrible.
Our project to migrate to Teams Phone will likely go down in flames if this is not announced next week. Our users will not (and shouldn’t have to) tolerate calls ringing in their ear when they’re in another call or meeting. C’mon, Microsoft!
Question: does BusyOnBusy only affect inbound calls when you are "in a call", or also if you are set to Busy status?

Agree with so many other comments - why would this *not* be default behavior? Or at the very least a simple option to enable/disable.
We recently switched from Skype FB to Teams and I cannot stand these calls interrupting my meetings or other calls if I forget to set do not disturb. Microsoft please fix this ASAP. I cannot believe this is not standard. Skype handled this well. I'm appalled that this seems like a basic feature that you would put in and people have been asking for this for years. Busy on busy is a joke for a business and is basic home phone stuff. Please allow users to send calls straight to voicemail when busy.
How is this not the standard? If I'm in a meeting I do not expect, nor want to take any calls.

If you are already in a meeting calls should good to VM. Also the call should not ring on other devices running MS Teams (Cell Phone, Desktop).
Please block incoming calls when already busy on a call or in a meeting and allow system voice to say 'user is currently busy on a call/meeting please try again later' or allow for more than one voice message to be recorded so that Teams users can allocate different voice message like when busy on a call or busy in a meeting or will not be availaibe for 5 days etc. because it is disturbing to receive calls whilst I am busy in a business meeting. Please make this available for all OS and Mobile OS. Thank you.
It is very annoying if you held a presentation and the incoming call dirctly disturb the meeting and concentration is gone.
Please insert a function asap to avoid the interuption during meeting or call!!!
Interesting, bc this is active at my job. It goes directly to end the call when calling someone else already on a call. It doesn't even forward to VM. It just ends the call and says the person isn't available. It's as if Teams is totally closed. At least on a mobile phone, when the phone is off, it forwards you to VM. Not that way here. I found this thread as I was searching for an option to "forward to VM when on a call" "switch".
We really need you to bring this feature available.
Pls get this feature ASAP

The "Busy on Busy" was already released:
The "Voicemail on Busy" option is under review:
Comparable settings have been available for Skype for Business already, see PowerShell documentation:
