direct routing - let PSTN do a PSTN call via SIP trunk
When you make a PSTN call to a user in the same tenant - the call is routed internally within Teams.
Calls between users in your organization are handled internally within Phone System, and never go to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). This applies to calls between users in your organization located in different geographical areas, removing long-distance costs on these internal calls.
It should be possible to force that when a users chooses the PSTN number, the call goes via direct routing SIP trunk.
This would give the following advanteages:
- already implemented voice recording systems would record the call.
- already implemented PBX's (with mobile integration etc.) would be able to control the calls
- CDR's for users would reflect all PSTN calls
- It would be possible to use MS Teams as a "dumb" sip endpoint.

Before I found this, I opened a request that I believe is asking for the same thing, using a feature that was available in Skype for Business- see https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/40811737-provide-the-ability-to-inhibit-reverse-number-look

This should definitely be an option for the Teams Administrator. We need this ASAP!
