Allow Teams to use the same auto correct rules and custom dictionaries as the rest of Office 365
So far all parts of teams do not run auto correction for proofing. Additionally, it seems to need it's own custom dictionary for custom entries. Teams should be able to use the auto correct rules and look ups and custom dictionaries that are created to be used with Office 365. This would allow for the auto capitalisation of words at the beginning of a sentence, common spelling and grammar error correction. It would also allow for the custom auto corrections of names or adding of internal company terms.
This capability is available across all desktop office programs and seen as a major plus over competing platforms. extending these capabilities t Teams and OneNote would seem like a simple implementation with huge benefits.
My organization is moving to Teams 100% from Skype for Business by the end of July.
I can't believe this hasn't been addressed by now.

It would be nice to have the same autocorrect features we enjoy in MS Word on Teams!

Auto correct is a much needed feature in Teams.
I need Autocorrect in Teams!!!!
Unbeknownst to me, over the years of relying on auto-correct, my fingers have memorized "teh" when I intent to type "the". I can't seem to retrain my fingers. I NEED auto-correct. Is there any hope that it's coming soon?
I am used to MS Word and MS Outlook auto-correcting my frequent typos; also I'm used to being able to add words to my dictionary. It means what I issue looks professional.
My workplace has just adopted MS Teams and I need this functionality in MS Teams too.
When will Microsoft upgrade the Teams functionality in this way, please?
My O365 Custom Dictionary. This is my #1 issue with the Teams interface. My IM typing is poor to say the least. Plus, I have numerous shorthand shortcuts that are in my Auto Correct Dictionary. Please integrate the Team IM with the O365 dictionary.
Even if it is a chat or instant messaging, it's still a professional environment. We should be able to save some time if we had auto correct.
...and MS Teams should also be able to access any customized dictionary from any equivalent MS Office Suite, i.e., 2016 or newer.

Yes please! Also, why does Teams not like contractions?
Many company names and branding are being recognized as misspelled without a way to auto correct or add them into the company's recognized dictionary. This is a concern and blocker to deploy teams as their customers would see their company name was misspelled within conversations. How can we have a specific company's name added to the Teams dictionary?
