Thank you for your feedback! The team is hard at work on this highly requested feature. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

> @Hannah-Jane, where are you seeing that info on planned releases? 👀🤞

Not often am I speechless but...
I was delighted to see that they have finally started working on this (why they have not updated the status above, who knows).
Originally the release was planned for April 2021 - HOORAH I said!
Now we are in May and guess what... release is now planned for June!

This feature has been on backlog for longer than a year? Why? Seems to be such a high priority feature.

What in the world? Chatting on Teams desktop, making points, discussing issues, need to respond to a specific comment, need to pick up my phone and do it on the Teams App?
This is madness... how was this not a v1 feature? Please get this done already.

WTF?!?? Still not on?

I would like to voice my opinion here and say, that the fact that this feature is still in backlog, is unacceptable. It's something you've come to expect from any messaging app, it's in the iOS version. Come on, Microsoft!
Good morning Alex,
Is there any movement on this please? It has been back-logged for nearly a year now. This would be a fantastically useful feature and would make large chats/channels easier to manage as it is easier to determine what messages each person is responding to. Without having to add extra detail in the response to tie it to an earlier message.
So its been almost a year. Do you not have ppl who can code this. I can help you guys hire.
It should be added next to reaction emojis when you are above the chat, like others IM desktop apps.

Any update on this feature for Desktop App?
The product roadmap - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=81113 shows the release scheduled for April 2021. April is almost over. What are the plans Microsoft Teams?
Does anybody remember the requested feature in Azure DevOps - "ability to allow editing or deleting a comment"
That one also took a while to resolve. So I have high hopes that this one will also get resolved eventually, but I'm not holding my breath!
Next week we will celebrate a year after the post. Hopefully Alex will give us good news!

We are going to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the reply that Alex gave us in 2020... cheers everyone! :D
+1, for sure!

Over a year and a release required feature still not available!
Man Eating Lizard Dragon commented
does it make sense to wait for this feature to make it to macos anytime soon?
I have Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.11161, it is work since 27-Apr-2021
But my colleague is not function with same Teams Version. Why?
I voted, but not sure why- clearly not gonna make a difference now that I was the 45,398th person!
It seems that Team's stakeholders don't care about the needs of their users. With such a strategy, you have no chance at least to catch up with Slack.
