Reply to specific message in chat on desktop app
Having the ability to reply to specific messages in a chat on the desktop app. This is available on mobile today.
Thank you for your feedback! The team is hard at work on this highly requested feature. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
Our IT team is trying to migrate to MS Teams, but when we couldn't do a quick right-click quote reply liker we can on Skype or Telegram, we had to put a hold on this migration. This is the most used feature from Telegram and Skype that we cannot let go.
Can’t understand why this feature was not supported by MS development team :(
Hopefully it will be released in the next

On my side it's available in desktop app for chat messages. But not for team channels conversations and not for Web version.

Skype has the reply feature, but Teams doesn't. Something is wrong with the Teams development team.
8 more days and we will have seen this due date fly by....

How long until it's on the Win Desktop App?
I really advocate Teams, but the original newspaper article from Slack, welcoming you to the chat world come to mind. Its painful because you let them laugh at you. You dont even have the function to have a coherent chat.

I read something about these user voice pages going obsolete soon. Where are we supposed to voice our opinions in the future?

how long to go??
As the intent and purpose of Teams is to increase work productivity, the ability to reply to a direct message on the desktop should be a high priority from a user experience standpoint.
We can reply in teams like this
Copy the text for which you want to reply and in the compose area click shift + > then paste the data, click on enter double time then compose your reply and send it

I bet M$ will postpone this feature until August 2021
Rollout date was end of April, now is June. In a few days I am expecting to go to August.
It's too bad that "Microsoft Teams" do not have such an impotent option (of Reply to a specific message under a Chat) on desktop version which is already support in android app!!!
Reply to a specific message on desktop app
"Shift+ >" is not good way for some Asia IME.
It is hard for new join user can found in "Format" if they want to reply. Most think "replay" function is in "..." or right click, like android app.
This method is a genius workaround! --> ITS NOT! It's a mediocre workaround to something that should be RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX ON ANY MESSAGING PROGRAM
"Thank you @Thanh Nguyen! (I guess in THIS chat we cannot quote nor mention either! :D
Suuch is the Micro-Soft way of disallowing the developers to do what they know it's right...you are very right, @Reza Allahyarzadeh...
1. Shift+ >
2. Enter the quote
3. Shift + double Enter => out of quote box
4. Fill in your reply"
