Reply to specific message in chat on desktop app
Having the ability to reply to specific messages in a chat on the desktop app. This is available on mobile today.
Thank you for your continued feedback. As many people have pointed out, this is available on mobile today. Support for replying to a specific message is on the backlog for desktop. I’ll let you know when we have progress to share. Thanks.
To add to this, is not just about replying to specific messages, but should be more of a thread system.
still working on it??? months and months.... zzzzzzz...
uh wow, what a useful and futuristic feature! is the patent pending already? *rofl*

we need to have this soon, would be very useful for group chat
This needs to be a feature, it is so bad in chats with multiple people.
Its been April and this feature is not available ??

Wow.... 1 year past ever since this thread started, I've seen some feature requests related to this (type "reply" in the search) dated back to 2018, today this thing is still on the backlog?
Please prioritize, can't stress its importance for non-touchscreen laptops! :-(
Mobile has this, every other chat client has this. Can we do this sooner than later FFS? Whomever is the roadblock for implementing this immediately either doesn't use teams or is objectively stupid.

Such an important feature and it's still in backlog @Alex?
What has MSFT keeps failing to implement this basic much-needed functionality on the Desktop Teams application? It's not like Satya is pushing Windows Mobile agenda by giving better features on the mobile platform. Windows 10 is literally your home field. What is wrong with the priorities??
We need updates on this! It would be a game changer instead of always using de @ to reply to someone! Please make it happen soon!
It's now been on the backlog for a year while being the #1 most requested feature. Any update @Alex?

I guess they have incapable business analysts or product owner, just add "quote" action on right click to a message box and you are done. Like I said, they rather focus on useless features. This is how MS fails more often than not.
For the future, I suggest to maintain all the versions (android, ios, PC) updated at the same time (for the functionalities, of course). We, the users, are the same person that use all the interfaces, depending on the moment and the situation. We wish to interact similarly changing the device, not to think "ah-ha, now I'm on smartphone so I can do this, but I can't do that", etc.
I know that the different devices have different possibilities and limits, but I think it's possibile to distinguish functionalities that can be done independently from hardware features or limits of the device.

> I've never missed it.
I thought the use of the quote was obvious.
Wow Microsoft. This is a serious commercial product? All I can say is.... are we there yet?
