Reply to specific message in chat on desktop app
Having the ability to reply to specific messages in a chat on the desktop app. This is available on mobile today.
Thank you for your continued feedback. As many people have pointed out, this is available on mobile today. Support for replying to a specific message is on the backlog for desktop. I’ll let you know when we have progress to share. Thanks.
teams should not ignore Desktop message quote when reply.
if mobile teams can support, why Desktop teams can't .
please support it as soon as possible.
Or you can ignore your customer and quit the message market
Is there any progress on the desktop app with specific message

There are still desktop / laptop are the primary terminal, please help
+1 seems unbelievable that such basic and immensely required featured, based by the number of votes, is on the backlog

Also looking for this basic but useful and powerful feature on desktop and web applications. Hope you can add them soon! thanks
This is seriously needed.
Follow a work around:
- Copy the message you want to respond
- Select text box
- Shift + Enter to add a new line
- Go back to first line and type >
- Paste the message
- Go to the last line out of the shadow box and type your response.
+1 over the Together stuff. Basic feature.
We need this option on desktop. Cannot believe it is only available on the app. Improve chat function immensely. Please add it to desktop asap!
it's just ridiculous. MS working on some stupid feature like 50 webcams simultaneously but having basic feature for messengers in 2020 in the backlog.
We need this feature on Web, Mobile and Desktop
This functionality is very necessary in Kazakhstan. I ask you to implement it in our localization first.

O my... I cannot believe that this has not been implemented. It is an absolute essential element of the 'Teams' product. My team within our company has a channel that moves quickly at certain times of the day - meaning that certain threads get interwoven. WE NEED THIS.

This feature should have been released a lot earlier but somehow it is still in the backlog.
I can understand your reasoning of prioritizing custom background during the Corona times but this feature still staying in the backlog really don't give any promises to use Teams in the future that lack a very basic functionality of a chat tool.
this is COMPLETELY BIZARRE (that the desktop does not have such feature) shame on you MS!!!

Guys... really? So far, no news? What in the world do you need to prioritize such basic and high demanded feature in Teams?
How was “custom backgrounds” prioritized over “threaded replies” in your backlog? 🤔

This seems such a basic feature of a messaging app. How on earth is it "on the backlog" when it should have been in the first release!
Strange that in mobile application it is fixed/present whereas most users are using MS-Teams on desktop. What about setting the right priorities?
