Thank you for your continued feedback. As many people have pointed out, this is available on mobile today. Support for replying to a specific message is on the backlog for desktop. I’ll let you know when we have progress to share. Thanks.

A quick count and it looks like, yesterday, on the 3rd March, 18 people took the time and energy to come here and comment on this, 18 people were frustrated enough to search for this issue, found this page, and commented.... in one day. Imagine how many people are ACTUALLY frustrated, that's gotta be quite a lot. Then think about how many frustrated people there have been since the 6th May when @Alex mentioned an update re progress... BaNaNaS

This looks like the most voted for feature in MS Teams - I don't understand why it would still be on the backlog. Can we get an update or some context around why this hasn't been implemented yet?

Can someone indicate where is the Microsoft's official roadmap for this feature please??
There's NOTHING here regarding "replies" for Desktop/Windows10:
https://www.microsoft.com/en/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Teams&searchterms=replies@Alex or someone from Microsoft, what's the current STATUS?!
Another year until starting to think about this?? -

Just do it! :-)
@Alex, what is the current status? -

Please add this feature, Right now, replying to chats without being able to quote is making things really complicated in some cases.

Common guys! So many cool new features announced in Ignite this year but no 'reply to specific message in chat on desktop app'. Pleaseeeeeeee bring this soon! :(

any update / Progress on this. as this is a very important feature we need in daily communication at work. during office work its not practical to pick up the mobile and use the Reply feature.
It is so difficult to bring this feature on the desktop?

Other messaging apps like FB Messenger and Discord already enable this feature on the desktop and in the browser.

Its so trivial feature these days, its like Microsoft released windows and forgot to add "Start" button to it. And took more than a year to add it. 😅

Please make this a priority, it's an essential feature and this post is nearly a year old...

Why is this still a backlog item? Come on already this is more like a joke now.
It's one of the most important and requested features. Make it a **** priority.

Seriously would love this, in a big chat it's really hard to not have the ability to reply to specific messages available on desktop which is where I mainly use Teams. Please prioritise!

This is a really important feature. Sometimes, a reply capability is the difference between miscommunication and enchancing clarity. Please add this !!

Until this feature is included in the app, one can copy and paste the message and use the "Quote" button to quote it manually. This replicates the same effect as if one has replied to a message.
