Power point in Teams How to import or paste slides?
In teams using power point how do you import additional slides or copy and paste slides from another ppt file? Currently it only pastes an image of the slide.
I had the same problem until a few minutes ago.
I couldn't paste directly into the Teams app view.
I couldn't paste in to the Browser View neither (opened from upper right corner).
I could paste the new slides into a COPY of the slideset (downloaded from the upper right corner). But since this was a COPY it needed to be re-uploaded and would overwrite changes made by my colleagues.
Here is what to to:
When the destination powerpoint presentation is open in Teams app, look for menu item "Open in desktop app". It is normally center-positioned in the top menu.
Opening in desktop app will allow you to do the changes on desktop and automatically upload your changes.
You can in this view also see who else is working in the same document.
If you open the PPT file in Teams by right-clicking and then using "open in app" it works properly.
Yes this is annoying that Teams only pastes a bitmap "picture" of a slide and not the content (or at least a WMF vector picture)
I am interested to know the solution to this. It's not user friendly if you have recreate the content on Teams every time as in most cases slides exist elsewhere and then you combine to collaborate.
