Pin video feed in a recording
When recording a broadcast, the subsequent video created shows the video feeds of other participants (and initials if there is no video feed). Please create a feature where the organizer can mark a video feed as the "Recording feed" so that video feed is full screen on playback.
Use case: Project boards; an external camera is viewing a project board - we want it to be full screen so users can have a clear view of the board rather than having it quarter of the size and 3 boxes filled up with initials of some of the participants.
This is such an important feature. I do international interviews that then get edited and broadcasted on our news station. I have been using ZOOM flawlessly for this feature alone. The ability to pin a single speaker. I don't want to see me on my video? And the person I am interviewing squeezed into a matchbox alongside me nodding and grinning like an idiot.
ZOOM resolves end to end encryption in July2020. Could the mighty MS team of Teams possibly resolve this before then? Good luck guys!

Many universities will start hybrid teaching in Fall 2020 and this feature is required for a professor to be able to record her/his whiteboard presentation for students who cannot watch in real time. Other web-conferencing platforms will take lead in remote teaching otherwise.

Really surprised you don't have more control over what's recorded. For company webcasts, we want to record the presenter only, but we're stuck with a view of the presenter in a small tile alongside 8 other meeting participants. Surely there's a way to fix this?

Not having this ability severely limits options in the education space to utilize the recordings for various purposes. There is no reason for initials to be displayed.
It is really frustrating that we cannot just record the main video ! We can do so on Zoom and so will have to use Zoom in preference to Teams if this cannot be resolved.

As a video producer, I want to have only the one who speaks in full screen on my recording. Then when there's a question from the interviewer the system switch on him (Video follow Audio)... Skype did it... Why is it so difficult for Teams... ??????
Ideally, I want to cut my cam and mic during recording, and choose (automatically or by clicking on small video) the one to be recorded full size (usually the speaker)...Then I do my own editing afterwards.
Yes, this an essential function, even better: We should have the option to record: "all participants" (like now), "only presenters", "only active videos", "only presenters with active videos" (as sometime some people might be "presenters" just to have managing rights of the meeting).
It would be great to have a "side by side" option (similar to Live event) for Meetings recording, where the slides/share screen would be 2/3 and the video(s) on 1/3.
This could be in the "Meeting options" to be set up by the organizer.

I was hoping this may have been added as a feature in the recent update - it's a matter of us being able to use Teams for our intervention or not at all. PLEASE add this Microsoft!
Yes please! This would be incredibly helpful.

Yes, this is a must for recording sessions! Recording the session is useless if the presenter can‘t use the entire screen.
Totally support this! Huge design flaw. I was so shocked after recording something to see multiple heads staring blankly and the speaker in the bottom corner.
This would be very useful - we are teaching using teams and some students are in different time zones so have to access the recordings - these are not adequate with 3/4 of the screen blanked out.

This would be useful in our organisation. We run remote Q&A interview sessions with a primary interviewer and and a primary interviewee, and around 100 attendees in a meeting style event which we record for anyone unable to join live. Attendees mainly remain on mute with camera off.
Live Events (at least Teams-produced Quckstart live events) don't work for us in this scenario as we need to show both the interviewer and interviewee camera streams simultaneously, and have the option for any attendee to un-mute and to ask a question.
I would like to be able to pin camera streams of interviewer and interviewee, and for this to be reflected in the meeting recording.
absolute imperative to have this.
Must have, specially for education
a MUST HAVE

I am requesting a feature to Spotlight a participant video which puts a user as the primary active speaker for all participants in the meeting and cloud recordings.

I would also like this option. The recorded stream should match the viewers window. Please Add Pin option to recorded videos in Teams.
Yes, please. ASAP. There should also be an option to NOT record the thumbnails of other participants when a single person is full screen.
There should be a way for the meeting organizer to pin a specific participant to the meeting so that *everyone* in the meeting sees that person full screen while they are being recorded. As it stands, only the person who pins someone in a meeting sees that person full screen.
