Pin video feed in a recording
When recording a broadcast, the subsequent video created shows the video feeds of other participants (and initials if there is no video feed). Please create a feature where the organizer can mark a video feed as the "Recording feed" so that video feed is full screen on playback.
Use case: Project boards; an external camera is viewing a project board - we want it to be full screen so users can have a clear view of the board rather than having it quarter of the size and 3 boxes filled up with initials of some of the participants.
I am teaching my physics classes this fall using Teams. When I write on the board, the recording leaves my video as just one fourth of the recorded screen, which makes my writing smaller and harder to read than I'd like (and sometimes the section of the camera view that's included isn't predictable). Especially as I start doing more complicated work, having my writing full screen would make a big difference for legibility and the usability of the platform. Ideally, I would like to be able to change whether or not my video is "pinned" in the recording depending on context (so that at other times during discussion the speaking students can be seen), but if it were just one or the other, being able to have me permanently pinned would be my choice.

Obrigado.

This feature can help a lot in presentation style meetings.
When recording in Teams, he should keep the settings exactly as we set them for recording. If I'm recording, I'm only interested in the video of that user that I set up to record, the other participants are not. I want to record the content, not the participants.

Adding my support for this as a necessity for remote instruction (college-level here). If I have a student who misses class and I'm writing notes on the board, I need the whole board to be visible on the screen in the recording. When it splits the screen between me and another or other participants, the portion of the board shown varies and not in a way that is predictable to me while writing.

This is vital for our district when students opt out of directory information. Their name cannot not be displayed as well as their video. It would be nice to select a video to pin as part of the recording instead of showing all the participants in the meeting windows.
This is a vital part of teaching a hyflex class where participants will be able to watch a recorded version of the class. Right now, they will only be able to see a portion of the screen. The sooner this feature is enabled, the better quality instruction we can provide. I see that it was planned in January of this year. I am hoping it will go live soon.
A MUST have for remote teaching/learning classes scenario
Typically Microsoft to launch a program on the market that is not sophisticated. Why not take Skype and simply improve it?

I'm confused, in Live Events the only thing that is recorded is what you send live. You can't send someone's initials live (you can't click on a camera feed that isn't broadcasting) , so the only thing people will see on the recording is what they see on the live event, which is what you choose for them to see
These are MUST HAVE requests. 1) Presenter must be able to pin themselves full screen so that they can see from afar what is in frame. For example when using an external PTZ camera, presenter must be able to see what is being presented. 2) Must be able to select and switch selection of what to record during the meeting.
I am in the education industry and these features are required for remote learning scenarios.
When we record our teams meetings, we would prefer that no other images of participants be visible in the viewing pane of the recording. When selecting the icon to begin recording, is it possible to add a selection "feature one participant" versus "feature all participants"?

I strongly agree with the proposed feature enhancement

This is desperately needed!
This continues to be an issue, really need the ability to "pin" a key presenter for the recording playback.
Desired behaviour is perfectly stated below,
"There should be a way for the meeting organizer to pin a specific participant to the meeting so that *everyone* in the meeting sees that person full screen while they are being recorded. As it stands, only the person who pins someone in a meeting sees that person full screen."
"During the live meeting participants can all Pin the presenter but the recording shows the 4 camera grid and so those viewing the recording have a poor view."
Please schedule this enhancement!
Are there any updates on this?
This is such an important feature. I do international interviews that then get edited and broadcasted on our news station. I have been using ZOOM flawlessly for this feature alone. The ability to pin a single speaker. I don't want to see me on my video? And the person I am interviewing squeezed into a matchbox alongside me nodding and grinning like an idiot.
ZOOM resolves end to end encryption in July2020. Could the mighty MS team of Teams possibly resolve this before then? Good luck guys!

Many universities will start hybrid teaching in Fall 2020 and this feature is required for a professor to be able to record her/his whiteboard presentation for students who cannot watch in real time. Other web-conferencing platforms will take lead in remote teaching otherwise.

Really surprised you don't have more control over what's recorded. For company webcasts, we want to record the presenter only, but we're stuck with a view of the presenter in a small tile alongside 8 other meeting participants. Surely there's a way to fix this?
