Pin video feed in a recording
When recording a broadcast, the subsequent video created shows the video feeds of other participants (and initials if there is no video feed). Please create a feature where the organizer can mark a video feed as the "Recording feed" so that video feed is full screen on playback.
Use case: Project boards; an external camera is viewing a project board - we want it to be full screen so users can have a clear view of the board rather than having it quarter of the size and 3 boxes filled up with initials of some of the participants.

Can someone from Microsoft please give us an update on this? This request has a significant amount of votes and yet there has been no response. Our CEO constantly asks when this feature will be available for our company when we do Town Halls. We don't want to use a live meeting because we still want to have interaction with our employees.

This needs to be addressed. From a privacy standpoint, from a use case standpoint, ...
If this feature were present, I could persuade more students to turn on their camera since they would not appear in the recording of the lesson. I want my distance teaching to create a community feeling, and therefor it is imperative that students turn on their camera. I want to see their non verbal communication. But I understand that they do not want their faces and rooms in a recording. But I cannot choose which video feed is shown full screen in the recording ...Even when doing screen share, students appear at the bottom in the recording. NOT OK!!
This is an absolute must for the education field, where you have to take student privicy into account. The pinned feed should be the only thing you see in the recording, no small images of the other participants either

It is frustrating, but at least I get the popup alert telling me that Spotlight is not recorded. Teams Live Event captures precisely what you want to record. It may be a better solution for what I am trying to accomplish, but really needs a producer in order to not get totally lost.
please make this a priority!

This is absolutely needed for virtual classroom recordings, and students privacy.
I cannot measure my frustration today after watching the Teams broadcast I recorded for 6 hours with a pinned participant as a highlighted screen turned out to be a gallery view of all participants.
In the recording, the main screen was cropped and all the important portions of the screen that I pinned was gone. This recording is part of a crucial project in my department and now I can’t turn back time to fix this failure.
How can this function absent in Microsoft Teams? Even spotlighting doesn’t make a difference in your recording output.
There is not even any warning prior to recording in Teams about how your recording is going to turn out. And I have not seen a walkaround method to solve this. Microsoft should fix this issue.

Can you give us an idea when this feature will be implemented for all users?
Your page (which has no date by the way) on this issue states:
"If you record a meeting in which someone's video is spotlighted, the video won't be spotlighted in the recording. This is just a temporary limitation, though—stay tuned for updates."
Please can you tell us when these famed updates might begin to appear?

How does this not already exist?
When recording in teams, it won't even take in consideration the spotlight view that is highlighting a certain presentation and instead is showing a completely different view that we actually getting in the live demo.
This is an important feature - I waste time having to edit videos after meetings to crop out the other video feeds. If the feed is pinned during the meeting, then that's what we want to see in the recording.

This is critical. Please address, Microsoft.

This is extremely important in this world of virtual and remote learning!
Yes, we do desperately need to be able to pin ourselves, and it needs to be viewed this way in recordings for our students. My students need to see me! Not four other people on the grid. This is crucial.
This is critical. Interviewing for work daily why would I want a video recording of my own face when I am video editing the interviewee into a clip? I now have a sliver to work with. Zoom for the win here kids.

It is so important to be able to record and share video as it appears. It is bad enough that Teams makes you manually focus on the person speaking instead of auto shifting as people speak.
This feature would be VERY helpful! Thanks!
I want this
Why is this not implemented yet?

I want this too.
+1; I desperately need this; This is why I'm forced to use Zoom calls where you can pin the speaker in the recording. I'd rather do everything in Teams...
