HIDE/DISABLE “Join or create a team” in Microsoft Teams by GUI Admin Dashboard
I hope we can hide or disable option "Join or create a team" from user in Microsoft Teams by GUI on admin dashboard. It's easy to manage and control the user create team or join team.
When user create a team, It will auto create one site on SharePoint. It is so messy when we have 100 user using Microsoft Teams and have permission to create a team. Thanks

This would be amazing. Yes, if Groups creation is limited (disabled) for regular users, it is still possible to create a new team based on *already existing* groups! So, even when you limit the creation of M365 groups, it is still a great addition to the Teams client if the "join or create a team" option could be controlled through the Teams Admin console.

You can disable the option for end users to create m365 groups (which is the foundation of a Team). You would then have to centrally manage Team creation in IT or by another group of users that has been delegated the privs to do it.
If it can't be hidden/disabled, at least allow admins to include an approval workflow on the create process.

It'd be nice as an Admin to provide the ability for someone to Request a Team rather than have a button that doesn't work because we've changed the permissions on who can create a Team. If this is already a separate user voice request, please combine.
