Merge Calls
The ability to "Merge calls" was available in Skype for Business. The ability to call one person, put them on hold then call a second person, and then merge the calls together just like it was on Skype for Business.
Why was this ability removed?

Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to announce that the Call Merge feature is included in our Dec 2020 Public Preview pack, and will be available to users who opt into Public Preview.
Please see feature details here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-public-preview/now-in-public-preview-call-merge/m-p/1972987
You can learn more about the new Microsoft Teams Public Preview program here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreview, and Teams administrators can find documentation to manage which users will see the Public Preview option here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreviewAdmin

Can you unmerge calls?

This feature needs to support merging a second call from the same person on a different device. I regularly get calls over Teams from someone on their phone, then the caller tries to share their desktop screen with me via their Teams on that device. I expect this requested feature to allow me to merge such calls (2 from the same person on different devices).

This feature was on December 2020 under rolling out and I was able to see and use it. Now is gone with again unknown release date (I'm not under Public Preview pack). Its very inconsistent.

I don't see this feature yet. I have a HR department that needs to conference in a translator and when you make a meeting, the meeting doesn't allow you to use dial tones. They can't call the translator first because they don't know the user can't speak English till after they answer. Any word on this actually rolling out?

While I am on a voice call and if someone calls in another line. I should have an ability to add the new caller into the existing call or merge with the existing caller

I can add a third party to a call using "show participants" then typing the phone number of the participant. However, this takes the call to the audio conferencing line, and keypad tones do not pass through. I would like to be able to merge two calls without it becoming an audio conference.

There are a couple of different threads that are all requesting this basic feature. If those threads themselves merged (no pun intended), there are close to 500 votes for this feature. That may not be as great as many ideas, and I understand the need to prioritize, but this idea should at least be consolidated into one thread and be put on the radar screen of the powers that be.

Merge calls on Teams.

The ability to merge calls was a great feature in SFB and allowed you to drag and this would convert into a conference call. Why has this simple functionality been missed in MS Teams?

On a call when another person calls me. I answer (putting the original call on hold) but then want to be able to merge the two calls.
I could do it in SfB but can't in Teams - seriously??!!
