Once the one-note is corrupted there is no other way apart from recreating the one-note
This is in reference to the support ticket that we raised with Microsoft (16479713) Microsoft Partner Cloud Support for Office 365 .
Issue - I can't add a OneNote notebook to my team in "Teams". I get an error about the API. Same error occurs on multiple attempts. The notebook is stored in a SharePoint site. If I try to add it using a URL it fails as well.
We have been asked to recreat and reconfigure the whole onenote book, however the action plan suggested is not feasible for us to implement. As this will impact 100s of users as all the users are accessing the notebook from different locations. Also this would be time consuming and we are not sure when we would be good to implement this also we expect Microsoft to fix this issue instead of we re-configuring everything at our end.
Hence we asked for any alternative, if there is a way to redirect the notebook if it is being accessed by multiple users.
Example – if users are accessing the corrupted notebook and without interrupting them we would migrate the data to the new notebook and the users will be able to access the data seamlessly and once the new notebook is ready we can remove the redirection and the users will access the data from the new notebook.
However there is no workaround or alternative to this issue, hence raising this idea to developement team to implement a feature to oversome such issues.
