Book a room directly from a Teams room device
It's not currently possible to book a Teams room from the device itself. This seems to be a big gap in the solution and users are forced to book from their computers/phones which defeats the point of the room system.
What if you book a meeting via Teams device and someone later cancels it or even makes own booking? The device works as a dedicated Exchange account and everyone who has access to it have the same access rights. That is the reason why there is only read only access to calendar via the terminal.

I agree. And yes, you'd expect for anyone and everyone to always have a smartphone or laptop with them. It's just as expensive as the room systems are and you know the hardware requirements are already met for it, why would they not?
