It's Microsoft Windows - so, could we have multiple windows?
Please? It can't be hard to have multiple windows, since it's possible to access the same Teams account from multiple computers at the same time.

Agreed; I would like to be able to have multiple channels/teams open in multiple windows. My computer setup has two screens, and here I am stuck working on one.
Clicking back and forth and back and forth, and each time and having to find and navigate to where I was before I clicked away last time. Terrible for work flow.
It makes visual comparison very difficult as well.
I'm really happy about the new ability to open chats in a new window, but I want that ability for all portions of Teams! I don't want to spend my time navigating between tabs when I have all this open space on my screen.

It is necessary for us to work on multiple excel documents and word documents in Teams at the same time. We would highly request that Teams have this capability.

The lack of capability of multiple windows in Teams is like the Office apps in the 90s. Is Microsoft not aware that this is a standard expectation for modern programs (now call apps)?
There are so many use cases where this is needed:
1. Watching a presentation or in a meeting to be able to work in the Team space. E.g. take meeting notes in OneNote within Teams.
2. Collaborating across multiple teams.
3. Read an email in Teams (our trainer said he never goes to Outlook anymore) while working in Teams.
4. Working in the calendar in Teams and do anything else in Teams.
5. In a chat and do anything else in Teams to address the chat.
I am sure there are many many more use cases that others can come up with. Please fix this obvious requirement.

My usual work pattern for everything else includes having multiple files open if different windows. Imagine if the normal word application, outlook or your browser limited you to one windows. It seem like an extremely odd missing feature.
Windows used to be important to microsoft ;-) -

Agreed. It will save time. The most frustration is that you click elsewhere and lose where you were and how ti browse again... ir if you ae on a conf call / video call / presentation, tou can still access other informstion while still watching presentation
Like a right click open new window will be great

Agreed. This is a necessary feature and would simplify or eliminate the need for other requests users have been making such as multiple chat windows, tabs within Teams, etc. Allowing multiple instances of the Teams desktop app to open is the most flexible way to allow for better multi-tasking / productivity.

I agree with this suggestion completely. Already this is cumbersome because Teams limits you to only one window and with being able to aggregate multiple applications within Teams (SharePoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, etc...) without the ability to easily switch between "windows", because there is only one, is very frustrating and time-wasting. Please give us the ability to right-click Open New Window for tabs/chats/etc. Thank you.
