SharePoint list search from a tab
When you add a SharePoint list as a tab, there is no way to search the list. Makes long lists unusable. I have many SharePoint lists that I could add a tabs for my users, but lack of a search feature is keeping me from being able to do this.

The team has placed Search for the List App on the backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available. In the meantime, you may want to try using filter as a workaround.

This really needs to be fixed. It will become unwieldy to effectively use Lists in Teams without a search function. Especially with longer lists.

We are also forced to abandon using Lists until this is fixed. Really unfortunate.

I planned to set up a simple acronym search list for my company and Lists looked perfect. However, the lack of an intuitive search facility with 500+ acronyms means the use of Lists has had to be abandoned. Please implement asap.

Please please please make this a priority, searching is a basic functionality on any platform, you search your emails, you search for words in a document, you search for data in excel, you search in your lists obviously. Please add it back, you're killing us!!!!

Please implement this feature asap. Even a ctrl-f experience would be better than nothing!

We're rolling out Teams across our business largley due to the Lists feature. As our list grows the lack of a search feature will become more and more frustrating.

It seems like lists are intended to be potentially quite large. There is a great big search bar at the top of the list page. Yet it is completely non-functional. This seems like it should be a pretty darn high (not back logged) feature to fix /implement.

Please make lists searchable, filters aren’t enough.

This is a problem for us as well. Having to click through to open a browser to use the search is not a step most people will 1) KNOW to take or 2) WILL take instead of just scrolling up and down the list in Teams until they find what they want. Filtering is far too clumsy to substitute for search functionality.
Hopefully this can get some more traction despite the low number of votes. The Lists app is making Lists in Teams a lot more prominent and it would be good to be able to fully leverage it before people get turned off by lack of functionality. -

On the backlog? Really - how can one use lists without search?

No search makes this absolutely useless. I was looking forward to start the tool and I couldn't believe it when I realized there is no more search function. Worse that there apparently was such a function and that it was removed without a replacement. What kind of crazy is that.

Please make this Search feature available at the earliest in coming release! Almost all the clients using Teams are requesting the same and without this feature it becomes difficult to increase user adoption to promote Teams as full fledge app to end users. Appreciate quick fix

This should have been included in the base release as Minimum Business Increment (MBI). This is such an essential feature. Releasing product lacking key features such as this not only hurts user adoption but also creates unnecessary bad sentiments in the user community because it says Microsoft doesn't care about "time" that users wasted when they realize the product is half baked.
