I want to stop my MS Teams availability icon changing automatically to Away when I'm not active on Teams for a few mins
When I'm not active on Teams for more than 5 minutes my status changes automatically to Away. I cannot change this in my settings and it's really annoying, because I'm usually still available to my colleagues, just busy with some other application, working on something else on my PC... It should be possible for the user to define when his status should change to Away, the fact that Teams changes the user status automatically is a clear show stopper.
Smarter than you commented
You are all not at your computer working which is the only reason why your MST status sign shows "away".
Who do you people think you are foolin lol?
Messes up communication more than helps it.
Agreed. This feature is so annoying and makes the status indicator completely pointless, I had to ask my team to ignore it completely.

Agreed, I may be busy in an excel spreadsheet for 15 minutes, and would be fine with someone contacting me, but my Teams shows me as away when I'm actually here working still. Very bad for the WFH life; away needs to be tied with something other than Teams access. Just because I'm not using that program does not mean I'm away.
