opt out of call queue within the MS Teams application
At the moment users have to follow a web link to opt out of a call queue, they should be able to do this directly from the application, that been on either the desktop app or the mobile app.
We are unable to see our queues in the Teams>settings>Calls. I have tired to disable and enable the agent opt out option from Teams Admin Center but no of no help.
These settings need to be available without driving through a menu or going to an additional webpage. Within the Teams Client, the "Calls" window should have an option to display the Call Queues a user is assigned to as they are listed in the User Icon/Settings/Calls dialog. That way, Agents can manage their status for being in a call queue quickly and easily.
You can already opt out of a queue via the settings.
Teams app settings > calls > Call queues
It does seem to take a few seconds to appear.
What's missing now is the ability for a manager to see who's currently opted-in/out of a particular call queue. So if all your helpdesk folks have opted out there are no calls coming in and the boss thinks everything is hunkidory!! Until an irate customer calls the front desk and moans about the failure to get hold of the Helpdesk!
Unfortunately for us, until there's a way for the manager to see who's in or out we've had to turn off the ability to opt-out and manage the shift changes via the CQ group memberships which isn't ideal by any means, taking into account the challenges around propagation times and the inherent flakiness of the Teams telephony in general.
OK rant over!
Why is this not marked as being worked on or indeed done! You can now opt-in and out of call queues via the app.
Click on the your pic in the top right corner and select settings. Then click the Calls left-hand menu and the opt-in/out buttons are at the bottom of the Calls settings on the right.
Opt in and Opt out should be possible. We would like to choose the Queue where we would be logged...
