Calendar invites for attendees for Live Events
We would like there to be a way for attendees to sign up for live events using teams so that they can automatically get a calendar invite with the event link included. At the moment we have to use a separate form and then send out the link in an email manually before the event. This means that we have to send out multiple invites and there can be a delay between signing up and attendees receiving the link.

yes, please. this is a baseline functionality. It helps the attendees not miss the event! and makes the events easier to administer for the organizers

Agree we need the ability to send out multiple links tor a variety of microsoft teams live eventstimes and dates in an email. The end user selects 1 of those teams live event that works with their calendar, then it goes onto their outlook calendar. Rather than sending out multiple emails with the team live event in each email. It is much to hard to manage for large organizations like ours.

I agree, we need this feature too,
there must be a way to send a calendar invite as an external link. or automatically, without adding anyone individually. There are features for other calendar apps or meeting apps that offer this. -

Echoing the comments already on here - Our comms team finds it difficult to invite attendees to attend a selection of events

We want this!! It's currently so difficult to invite people to future live events. Multiple emails with secondary signups, etc.

I am trying to use Eventable but it doesn't like the MS Teams live event link! What a frustration as you would think developers would have thought of this! Of course we need this to be in outlook calendars for invitees to accept or decline and be reminded. Not just a link!

I agree, we need this feature, especial for us in Citrix environments where we want people to access it from mobile devices to avoid using up bandwidth. If we can get it directly into the Calendar then it will automatically appear in their Teams app Calendar with a join button, rather than trying to access their email to get the link (not everyone has corp email on their mobile devices)

We definitely need this - both WebEx and Zoom have this capability!

Good comment, still waiting for MS to add this feature
What I currently do is to send a regular outlook invitation, with the live event link formatted like the Teams generated link for the Producer/Presenter, which Users are more familiar with.

Agree with the suggestion! A work around is to create a registration form in Forms. Once the attendee completes the registration form it kicks off a power automate flow that sends an email with login details and an .ics attached to it so the registrants can have the meeting on their calendar. This process has worked well for my org - but it would be nice to enable this functionality direct in the app.

This would be a great help as we post learning sessions to a group chat and the event can get lost since it's an open invite.
Ideally, create an Announcement and add a time and date to the announcement that allows you to "Add to Calendar"

We need an "Add to calendar" function. Use case: You see an event in a Yammer community that you want to remember to attend. SPO has an 'add to calendar' function that maybe you can re-use with Live Events. People want to create a calendar entry so they don't miss the event when it's live! (there's something more satisfying about attending live vs watching a recording ;- )

My issue is with scheduling a Live Event. If you schedule a Live Event and you wish to specify which users can attend your Live Event you have the People and Groups option. what good does it do if you add People and Groups in the Live Event permission section if they do not receive the meeting invite.

Microsoft: Any update on this please? Like everyone else mentioned here, it is a big show stopper for us. It should work just like GoTo Webinar or like WebEX... where it sends out calendar invites for attendees and presenters separately. It would really make the whole process so much easier and less headache for my helpdesk team.
