TEAMS is THE WORST!
You forced the replacement of Skype for Business without having the same (even minimal) functionality available in Teams.
1.) There is no pop-out chat window for participating in multiple conversations at once.
2.) No easy way to see missed chats (flashing icon isn’t in real time or noticeable); No Outlook notifications of missed chat summary.
3.) No Chat summary auto-cataloged in Outlook Conversations
4.) Lack of searching of previous Conversations
5.) Lack of deletion of some Conversation parts
6.) Automatic minimalization of Team Meeting screen share when trying to access files or other content in Teams.
7.) Lack of tight integration with Outlook Calendar and Teams Status. (Busy/Away/etc) The availability of a person in Teams does not always reflect accurately.
8.) No way to keep a resizable screen up for quick and easy visual as to who on the Team is Available for a chat. The Chat box is large and can’t be effectively resized.
Overall our team members are very frustrated with Teams! It feels like we are being forced to endure a Beta testing situation with Teams roll-out.
The lack of these basic but heavily relied upon functionalities in Teams has slowed our internal productivity and collaboration!
Fix it or allow users to continue using Skype for Business until the app is ready for prime-time, daily business use.
Absolutely HATE it - Skype was great - this is G_A_R_B_A_G_E_!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm forced to work with this klunky method. Believe me, I will NOT be using it much - only the bare minimum to get thru my work day. This was not a good replacement. So you thought everyone would grab a spoon and lap up this new **** soup? NO THANKS!
Yes exactly! i can just login using the android! SO ******* HARD TO LOGIN THROUGH DESKTOP!!! THIS IS SCAM WE ALREADY SUBSCRIBE AND GIVE THE TRUST TO MICROSOFT.
AMEN!!! All of these and more things are not well-designed and make chatting and meetings awkward , even compared to Skype for Business (which was not perfect by any means either). It's now summer of 2020 and all these issues still exist - WHY????
teams is horrible!

I have to agree with almost all of the negative comments leveled at Teams. It's convoluted, complicated, irrational, illogical, unfriendly. Frankly I'm tired of trying to support it. It's quite impossible to keep up with the constant confusion generated by an endless stream of unintelligible changes and a dearth of up-to-date documentation. I feel it's hopeless to try and support it. I my opinion Teams is poorly thought out and even more poorly implemented. Sadly, as Office 365 subscribers, were saddled with it. I'd like to disable it globally if I could. I don't understand why Microsoft didn't leverage the Outlook framework to build a collaborative application into Office. It seems to me they were well on the way to that end when Teams was suddenly injected into the mix. Now we have a "collaboration" application that's more time consuming than time saving. The only feature that everyone can agree is productive is Chat, but even that has generated a load of support issues - like, my favorite: "how do I chat with someone outside the office?" Some another issues: "how do I share a file again? - the link I sent doesn't work." And another interesting one: "How do you schedule a Teams meeting in a Private Channel?" (or "why can't you schedule a meeting in a Private Channel") If it's possible I can't discover. Not to mention Integration with SharePoint is maddening (but then everything about SharePoint is maddening). From my perspective Microsoft's foray into "cloud" computing is failing, and Teams is only the beginning. A great example of the problems Microsoft will face in the near future is exemplified by my young adult children, who, after attempting to use Office 365 for a few months, passionately abandoned it for Google, and vowed never to use it again - and they haven't. If Microsoft doesn't do something quickly to fix the myriad problems with services like Teams (and SharePoint, Office, etc.) someone else will.
I have an interview tomorrow. I have spent all weekend trying to download a version of teams which works without windows 365 & use it as an individual. It will not let me do this - it says when I try and sign up that my email is a school one ( it isn't) and wants me to download 365 for a school account ( which i won't let me do anyway.
So it looks like I will be unable to attend my virtual interview because of their S... software. I'm unemployed and do not have the latest hi tech laptop - It was a goodjob and I was looking forward the interview as I stood a good chance
Thanks a lot all you spoilt millionaires at Microsoft who do not give a hoot about your customers, only profit!
It's just awful - miles behind Zoom. Your app won't even download to my laptop. When I use it at school the video and audio are so rubbish. The moon landing pictures (you know, one small step for man etc...) are far superior to this pile of junk. Fix it or ditch it!!

And we can't get Teams notifications to work properly with Outlook. No one seems to know what to do with that. On occasion it works; at other times it fails. We miss important postings from "team members" as a result. It defeats the purpose.
Teams is not very good. If I want to call people I have to add them to contacts. Why does it not integrate with Outlook contacts? Sharing documents is unreliable, many times it does not work. Most of the time video is not used because it all slows down and you cant hear what people are saying.
Micromanaging time by having your dot go yellow instead of green or red is a waste on the part of companies.I keep getting distracted from my real work due to having to return to the Teams app and clicking the dot so it will change to green. It goes yellow if I'm on another application, not even necessarily when I am off the computer. Then it gets stuck at other times as if I'm still presenting. Absolutely detest this app. Can't track or return to conversation. No history kept. Microsoft, you suck!
Teams is a POS. Microsoft really blew it.
microsoft teams is the edsel of workgroup computing
Teams is simply awful, nothing about it is straight forward. It will not let me set up meetings from outlook and from the teams app itself you cannot set up the meetings because it does not pick up any of my contacts.
In this day and age how can somthing so awful be put into use (or not because it does not work) by such an established company.
You even look on help and its so complicated, I simply do not have time to figure out how to get this to work!
totally agree with everything posted here.

TEAMS must have been coded according to the ease and pleasure of the programmers rather than the customer who need to use it. If Steve Jobs was in charge of Microsoft a whole bunch of their programmers would be fired
Usnig MS team our meeting with customer went to horrible nightmare
As a student that is forced to use Teams on a daily basis, i can confirm that it is absolute shite.
1. The sound quality and connection in calls IS HORRIBLE.
2. I hate that you can not just directly upload files and have to do it in a separate segment.
3. It is useless, The teachers could just tell us to do the work without Teams.
Recently schools has stated using Microsoft team. And i believe this app is worst ever app. Such a big brand have such issue that you will laught.
1. While teacher is taking class any member can remove teacher.
2. While teacher is taking any class, anyone can remove any member
3. While teacher is taking any class, anyone can mute the teacher.
4. While teacher is teaching class, anyone can do mute all.
Such a bad app i never seen in my life time.

While these criticisms here are indeed valid, and Teams is only capable of basic of functionality, the critics here have completely misinterpreted the core business function of Microsoft. Microsoft's core business function is Software Licensing. It is naive to believe that the core business functionality of Microsoft is software development. Once this is understood, the quality of any Microsoft product as seen, is as expected; fundamentally flawed in horrible ways.
I lead a development team and agree with most of your well thought out points. No pop out... serious lack of functionality.. status sync issues across devices is horrible. Team is quite frustrated with some people showing offline while in an active meeting.
A pop out is absolute MUST - how on earth can Teams not have this?
