TEAMS is THE WORST!
You forced the replacement of Skype for Business without having the same (even minimal) functionality available in Teams.
1.) There is no pop-out chat window for participating in multiple conversations at once.
2.) No easy way to see missed chats (flashing icon isn’t in real time or noticeable); No Outlook notifications of missed chat summary.
3.) No Chat summary auto-cataloged in Outlook Conversations
4.) Lack of searching of previous Conversations
5.) Lack of deletion of some Conversation parts
6.) Automatic minimalization of Team Meeting screen share when trying to access files or other content in Teams.
7.) Lack of tight integration with Outlook Calendar and Teams Status. (Busy/Away/etc) The availability of a person in Teams does not always reflect accurately.
8.) No way to keep a resizable screen up for quick and easy visual as to who on the Team is Available for a chat. The Chat box is large and can’t be effectively resized.
Overall our team members are very frustrated with Teams! It feels like we are being forced to endure a Beta testing situation with Teams roll-out.
The lack of these basic but heavily relied upon functionalities in Teams has slowed our internal productivity and collaboration!
Fix it or allow users to continue using Skype for Business until the app is ready for prime-time, daily business use.
And it keeps changing your microphone level... THE WORST! Especially when you're on a work pc and can't do anything about it. That this is about to replace skype/lync is horrendous!
Teams is an example of how to make things worse by "adding" or "improving" on functions. Why is it so difficult to get a quick 1:1 IM out? User interface is not intuitive at all, and the only reason I use it is because I have to (and that is also true for many of my colleagues). Teams doesn't improve productivity, it reduces it. I will see how many other people in my organization would support a move to Slack or similar; I actually wonder how many MS employees use Slack or another messaging platform, especially when their bosses don't look.
Teams simply does not seem to work on mac's. It tries to start then just hangs and it appears to be a problem for many mac users. When looking up solutions there are lots of steps that require looking into files etc. I have tried uninstalling then re-installing but no luck. Its just not worth the hassle so I have uninstalled it. Its these kind of problems that had me move away from PC's to Apple.
Microsoft, please build a robust Teams option for the mac. I suspect this is why Zoom won the market during COID. It just works.
I agree with T Hoagland. Since the first time COVID arrived, my organization used zoom. It NEVER has a problem. After the second wave, my organization use teams instead. They say that they could send reports or something like that. But it LAGS / VIDEO IS BLUURY OR PIXELLATED / APP CRASHES EVERY TIME I SEND ANYTHING / HAVE TO WAIT FOR AN HOUR JUST TO JOIN A MEETING / etc. I wish they could change back to use zoom again...
TEAMS IS THE WORST APP ON HUMANITY
i agree 1000000% with T Hoagland, unfortunately for me my company turn off good old Skype for Business (former Lync) and i am force to use Teams:-(
Can this awful teams experience be improved?
Hehe, after I read all the 149 comments, I agree with each and every one!
Teams is JUNK!
Teams is a piece of ****. Unbelievably difficult/complicated to and join a meeting and missed important interview as a result. Zoom absolutely ***..es all over this piece of garbage
u ***** cant even make the back button work
I find again that Teams is a disaster. I have tried joining an event for 2 hours this morning that is hosted by Teams. Yesterday I was able to join without a problem. I have run the very good cleanup software Advanced System Care to remove any code fragments etc and rebooted my PC only to find Microsoft needed to update and configure my Windows 10 Pro, but after that Teams still does not work.
FOR REAL! microsoft teams is the most laggy thing ever KEEPS CRASHING. when too much people send a chat message at the same time it starts lagging so bad and sometimes just crashes. My processor is on 100% constantly when im in a meeting. ZERO optimisation for ****** devices. I have to use it all day so fix the problems

An overrated guy (i.e. a huge ******) from my company decides that all employees should now use Teams instead of Slack (because he won't pay Slack to get message history).
And Teams keep crash / lag / don't show cam / randomly fail to find micro / fail at sharing screen after a bunch of update...
THE WORST APP EVER... DEFINITIVELY

Unfortunately MS is using a phony price structure many Corporate 500 Companies have picked MS.
Again, mostly these decisions are made without considering the end users in mind. MS Teams is a simplified messaging platform with a really bad meetings experience.
Bottom line cost is of major concern but unfortunately without considering the end user work experience it slows productivity from end users. There are major competitors (Webex) that give a ‘State-of-the-art the Art’ user experience without compromising the end user experience or for that matter security.
in my scariest nightmares, never ever I would have imagined to say that I do love Skype.
Okay, to be fair, not everything is bad about Teams, I love the GIF feature. It's just awesome to express your own frustration about Teams itself even better.
You stuffed it with so many features, which might not be too bad in the end, but if you aim to replace your #1 business chat software by it, have you ever thought about to also equip it with a comparable user experience?
I mean, I am using this now since a while along with Skype, but I really wonder if you are using it even internally?!
How much do you actually like it to permanently switch between chats and contacts?
How much do you actually like it not to have a contact list which you can decouple from the chat window?
How much do you actually like it not to get rid of old chats (without the need to hide them)
How much do you actually like it to have meeting chats flood your chat window, and stay there?
How much do you actually like it to get permanently asked to join some meetings?
How much do you actually like it to get ripped out of something important, only because some a**hole clicks the button for you to join?
Is anyone in your company actually using it in business, or do you already prefer Zoom?
For now, I can only hope our company is not gonna switch Skype off entirely, as else, I feel I have to quit, and get back to paper post delivery.
A fu**ing annoyed User
I agree, but it gets even worse.
1. Suddenly, it decides to change account - then reports the account is incorrect.
2. The test call - when you answer it, keeps ringing and can't be shut off.
3. To use Teams, you have to use the authenticator - then the authenticator itself asks you to authenticate your login through the authenticator - it's like Catch 22 - at the end your still not logged into Teams.
4. Once you (somehow) manage to get it, trying to just make a call or a video call is nigh impossible.
It's not intuitive to use. Not user-friendly. Confusing and poorly integrated into other MS products.
It's a nightmare!
I got a yellow card at school for some other problems you didn't mention:
1. automatically disconnects you and you can't join even after restarting
2. Files delete themselves
3. distant noises in calls
4. Incredibly slow
5. Incredibly bad screen sharing

I have a MS Home account under my email - I have a-multi-Office 365 subscription under this address for the family.
I logged into MS teams as a business account with the same email address.
Now when i log into teams - I'm told that my password is incorrect
When I select reset password, I'm told to contact the admin!
If I try to log in using my home account, i'm told that this email is already in use on teams
I have spent 3 hours to date going around 'support' systems in vain and then contacting the MS support number who eventually told me that I need to log into teams support.
How can i get a human to resolve this?
This experience is motivating me to exit Microsoft altogether - the support experience is the worst of all of our suppliers
Support links don't work. Phone contact sends you to back to menus and even ask you to re-enter the number that you just called from followed by a pound symbol - a what???
Wish the microsoft team tried being their customers with a tech issue.
Are they hoping that the customers will just go away?

Teams has honestly ****** me over so much. It is the modern world's way of torturing people and making them regret life. As a student I prefer getting harassed and bullied and then getting infected with covid rather then using Teams but the government hasnt allowed me to. Teams was probably developed by drunk developers who were mainly focused on masturbation rather then development. Microsoft has so many problems Im honestly starting to consider Linux or Apple at this point.
Our school just went from Zoom to Microsoft Teams and i can say that after almost a year of a pandemic I started now to feel stressed out because of technical aspects. The android app i terrible and crashes often. The computer version is sticking to random friends video so I dont see the teachers video. Cant see the teachers shared video. Microsoft is trash
Our Manager makes us use teams as a punishment.
