Files results in search should show the full location
Looking for a file location after you search for it is difficult. Obviously you can open the file, but that does not help. The entire location should be displayed. It would be under the title in the File results list, but it usually is cut off. I normally have to "open in SharePoint" to see where it is. That's really annoying.

Not just file location - any search result location!
A button that says something like 'Show location' - which brings the LHS in line with the selected search results would be great, because often we search for a keyword in order to find the context of a chat or post or tab or wiki ...
Or better option is a toggle option similar to most IDEs 'Link with Editor', such that when you select a search result, its context just rolls into view on the left. -

I agree - My need is to find a file link in order to share it via email / chat with a colleague. Today, the search function only tells me that the file exists but not where to find it in order to get access to all the file operation the current GUI has (including copy link)

This needs to be upvoted. Users need to be able to share and know where a file is located... that's often the purpose of searching for a file
"where is that file called ***"

YES! A teammate just asked me to send them a file. I searched for the file, but all I can do is open it. It doesn't show me WHERE it's located. The location is important. At the very least, when I open the file, can I please click somewhere and get the URL??
