Load picture as background instead of blur background in Teams video chat
How about loading a picture as a defined background instead of just blur the background during a Teams video chat?
So, for example, I could load an all black picture as the default background to keep the focus on me.
We are happy to announce that pre-selected images for background settings on desktop is rolling out to the public ring this week. We are continuing work to support user-initiated custom background images as well – stay tuned!
I dont have the virtual background option at all. Only the blur. I have an i7 surface pro 4. Any ideas?
This was working for me over the last few weeks, but now it's been disabled. Why'd it go away?
Hi, I'm using Windows 10 and my Microsoft teams don't have the background or blur effects.How do I enable it?If I can't, Add it to Windows 10.(I use a webcam.)
This option does not seem to be available to Microsoft 365 users. Will that function be available soon?

The Adress to use a own background is %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads .
Is it possible to insert personalised photos for background images?
We need a way to administratively manage the background images. The default images may not be suitable for all, and need a couple ways to manage these. For example allow company + user images, or company only, etc.Also an easy method to add or swap out images. Thanks

It works great!
I want to be able to maintain the image I selected between several sessions. It is annoying to have to select it every session.

AVX appears to be my problem - I can but plead that you allow blur background and background pictures for this !

Teams crashes if I add a very large picture to the uploads folder. Please fix. File size limit seems to be about 10Mb.
to add to this, i would like to add my own image as a background setting, for example a photo i have taken previously and save it in my profile as an option to select when in meetings - same as the options in Zoom.

Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID: 63670
Microsoft Teams - background effects policy for tenant administrators
We are enabling tenant administrators to assign a user-level policy to control how users engage with background effects in Teams meetings. Options include:
offer no filters;
background blur only;
use background blur and default provided images;
and all (which includes the ability for users to upload their own custom images).
I think there is an option missing: Blur, default provided images and company approved images.
Allow tenant admins to upload some company approved images that are available to users in addition to the default provided images, without allowing end users to upload whatever random image they want. This would allow standard corporate backgrounds to be available to users and prevent per user custom images from being added.
Presets are all very well, but those available are hardly 'corporate', are they? If I used some of them for my meetings I'd be alughed out of the room...
There needs to be an option for this to be configured from InTune/Azure/O365 across an organization, department, busines unit, or whatever the compant decides is appropriate.
It should also be configurable in the client as a personal setting at the very least to allow persistance across conversations/meetings and even on a per TEAM basis..
I can confirm the feature exists and it is working :). Now the next step is to persist the image across calls. It can be done in one of two ways:
- Have some setting allowing the user to select what image he/she wants to use as default.
- Reuse the same background image setting which was used in the last video call.
Both are OK for me, the only thing I want is to not have to select what background image every time I join a video call.
this option is not woking/coming
pls help how I use this. path
