Option to hide the Files tab.
We have a well organised folder structure and protocol for file sharing through SharePoint. I have the SharePoint Document Library added as a tab in Teams and it works great. However, the Files tab on each channel is making everything messy.
We really do not want this extra location for sharing files in most of our teams and channels.
My current work-around is to revoke permission for the auto created 'General' folder in SharePoint.
Add two sub folders in 'General' folder called 'DO NOT PUT FILES HERE' and 'please use document library tab above'. So that when a user clicks Files tab they will be reminded not to use it.
Also add an alert to the SharePoint 'General' if a user accidentally adds a files here. Then as an Admin I can move it to the correct place in the Document Library or I can contact the user and ask them to move it.
It's an ugly, clunky, time wasting work around. So please, can you give us the option to hide this Files tab?
