Make it easier to add users to a Team by accepting lists of emails copied from Outlook address fields
I wanted to invite members of an email distro to a Teams channel.
I clicked the ellipses next to the team and then "Add member". It said "Start typing name or group" so I typed a few names and the group name - including the full Exchange distro email address.
Teams said "We didn't find any matches".
So then, in Outlook, I expanded the group and copied the list of names from the To: field into the "Add member" box. It pasted the names/addresses in this format.
I could only give it one email address at a time - then it was able to find the users and allow me to add them.
I feel like, copying and pasting from Outlook in this way should be supported. Pasting names/addresses in the format produced by Outlook should result in listing all of the matching users to add from the org (and suggesting the others as guests).
