Allow Team owners to drag broken conversation threads back to the main conversation.
We often get broken threads by people replying too quickly to a conversation and using the 'Start new conversation' as opposed to 'reply'. This really kills the threaded conversation, and leads to multiple conversations occurring and out of order. Team owners, or perhaps a 'channel' admin role, should be able to drag the broken threads back to the main conversation in order to rebuild the conversation. Having to tell people to 'use reply' is insulting. This is also true when an email comes into the channel that is about a conversation, but creates its own thread.
I think the text box should actually just default to reply because most likely that's what you're doing. You should have to click a separate button to actually start a new thread. So really the current implementation should be reversed.

Even if we get better visuals on distinguishing new conversations from replies this will remain an important feature. There will always be some users that will mess the Posts up and we need be able to fix those messes easily.
I would also add to be able to pop out replies into a new conversation in case new discussions come up in the replies, I guess the outcoming conversation should be linked to the original conversation then.

Yes, 'start a new conversation' is familiar when coming from normal chats - it gets used too often. Do more to make people realize when they should be 'replying'. Or give us a way to fix broken threads.
