Unassigned Number Range
In SfB there was this feature called Unassigned Number Range to upload a range of on premise PSTN Numbers. This allowed us to direct calls that were not assigned to a user to a fallback central number.

FYI I have a workaround if you're using Direct Routing https://chrishayward.co.uk/2021/08/05/microsoft-teams-handle-unassigned-numbers-with-direct-routing/

any update on this please? Its a much needed feature.
As a workaround you can assign the number to a resource account and assign the resource account to an auto attendant. From there you can send to a manager or operator, etc...
Acknowledge this will get unruly quickly if you have high turnover.
This would be helpful for terminated employees so we can forward the numbers and not pay for the license. They used to have a policy in Skype for this.
This is important for many reasons, one where the number was previously used by a sales or relationship manager that needs to flow to a main number again if called.
This is a really important feature for us. If someone leaves our business we need that number to go somewhere after we delete the account. We used to use Unassigned Numbers in SfB to pass the calls to a centralised switchboard now we just get a dropped call - which is really poor.

This was present in SfB on prem, it needs adding to 365 Phone System ASAP for the reasons stated below; we shouldn't have callers presented will 'dead' lines when calling DDI numbers just because the previous user has left.

Agreed this is a much needed feature of Teams.

Pretty essential feature to handle numbers not assigned anymore. Easiest way to handle terminations and such without getting a dropped call for people and looking like amateur hour for our phone system implementation.
