Convert Private Channel to Public Channel

Its good that Private channels are introduced in MS Teams. Can we have a option to convert a private channel to public channel.

    This conversion capability from private to public channel is especially important since the full capabilities of public channels aren't available in private channels. Thanks!

    I vote for this option! Besides it would be very handy to have Planner in a private channel as well.

    Is there an ETA of when this will be available - make life kind of difficult (e.g. private channels can't have tasks)

    Is this stilll not done? How is this possible? This is an important feature that should've been designed right from the start. It's not even a feature, but a design flaw. Guys please take some lessons from Discord, Slack even telegram. This causes more issues than you can imagine and just frustrated many many users.

    Same here, this oversight seems to be really ridiculous, it's a basic feature - to and fro toggle private/public.

    I certainly hope this feature for converting a channel from private to public and vice versa becomes available as soon as possible. We're currently just managing with this shortcoming of not being able to do this, and don't want to lose previous discussion on the existing channels - files we can move or copy elsewhere.

    Well here I find myself in the same boat as others. I created a huge file structure and made the channel private when I built it. Now 2 of the people in this project cannot participate because they are contract hires even though we gave them a company email. This is still an issue! I can not believe I did this much work for collaboration on a quarter of a million dollar project just for this punch in the face.

    I am of the same opinion.Changing channels must be an basic feature.
