Rename call in participant
Is there a way to rename a call in user in MS Teams meetings, e.g, if you have someone come in via phone only and you want to associate a name with the phone number. In other conferencing apps you can rename a call in user.

When using teams, with many call in users. This option would help know who is who. Example, in a hearing, this option would let you tag an attorney/plaint/defend. This way there will be less confusion on who is speaking. Preventing any misunderstandings, during proceedings.

Allow even Presenter to rename their names as well as participants. So for example, I am registered under my business name then rather than showing my business name, I want to rename it and show only my name.

Very much needed feature. The sooner it's added, the better

Extremely needed feature! It's getting in the way of properly communicating as you can't identify the caller since you can't rename them.

When will this be available?

This would be an extremely useful feature, and is available on some competing platforms.

This is so needed to know who is speaking if there are multiple call in participants.

Can someone tell if this has been implemented yet? If so, how can I start to link people's phone numbers to names so we can see who is in attendance for all of the users who dial-in users as you can see with the Teams app users.

Where is this feature? Will be ditching Teams for Zoom soon if this isn't added

If a user calls in from a phone number already in their Teams Favorites in the Call Me feature, or in AD, Teams should associate their user name to them. I have not seen this as an enhancement to vote on.

If we join a meeting and use the 'call me' feature, instead of using computer audio, it shows my phone number instead of my name. It should know who I am, because I asked it to call me from Teams.

Need to have the option to "name" a phone number for a person that has called in only. Also need to match a phone number to their Teams icon for those who join a Teams meeting on their PC and call into the meeting because they do not have a microphone or their PC audio is of poor quality.

It used to work in Teams where it would show the name of a saved phone number. A recent program change has been made to take this feature away. I will be moving our meetings back to Skype until this is resolved. This is not acceptable. Microsoft, you need to fix this immediately.

Yes being able to identify people that just call in would be extremely useful.

Users should also have an attendee code they could enter if they are dialing in and already on the Teams client for visuals. We require users to dial in when they cannot use VoIP to avoid costs of the Call-me feature. But they should be linked to Teams client account like other conferencing tools.

Nov 2020. This feature is still not here. We are about to ditch teams and get on zoom. Currently, we have 50 people calling in and we have no clue who is what.
