Colour categories in Calendar
It would be really useful for the Outlook colour categories to show in the Teams calendar. I rely heavily on these to make sense of my calendar with a large number of appointments and in the current release of calendar this will make me likely to still revert back to Outlook rather than use Teams for calendar management.

Just migrating our Shared IT Calendar from Exchange to Teams/SharePoint and all the Categories and colour coding have been lost.
There are small hints of JSON and "add from existing content type" that hint that this is possible.
But found nothing so far that gives us the same user experience that Outlook\Exchange gave us.
Please allow the Category & Colour to sync.

Yes this is strange as we know outlook has this function and its link on to teams . So as I colour code my meeting to help me best manage my time as I get over lapping meetings. So need to understand the severity if a miss one or have to choose the highest priority if a meeting comes in over another.
I do not get this will the TEAMS view of my Calendar and this is a must in the fast flow business of IT security. -

The user experience is fractured between Outlook and Teams. Two calendars creates confusion, particularly when Teams is a subset of Outlook. Adding colour coding to Teams calendar generally and pulling colour settings from Outlook specifically, would go a long way toward addressing this disconnected experience.

I rely on my Teams Calendar and use categories in Outlook for all of my meetings to identify a project, standard meeting and so on, each has a differing colour and would be great if Teams could do this. I keep Teams calendar open on one screen and e-mail on another to manage my day.

We've got users asking for this functionality. Would help for sure with not having to bounce between Teams and Outlook for calendaring.

Could you add category colours in Teams calendar, please.

The calendar should be moving to looks like Outlook with same features, at least for its look although we have to make the changes in Outlook.

I have categories for each of my classes in outlook, it would be great to be able to categorise meetings in Teams which correspond to real life classes with the same colour.

Please add colours to the Teams calendar as a priority. This is a much needed feature used by countless people on Outlook.

Please allow colors to be assigned to meetings and events in the Microsoft Teams Calendar as I need to handle 32 branch office worldwide and use it for clustering.

Please allow colors to be assigned to meetings and events in the Microsoft Teams Calendar as we use a single calendar for multiple teams that work closely together and being able to color code entries by team makes it very easy to see which team the event is for.
Or, maybe another idea would be an ability to define a list of teams, each with their own unique color, that you can optionally select when creating new calendar events in MS Teams.

+1 teams would be much better with appointments that could be visible in different colours in the calendar. I use colours in outlook to signal to my manager what is scheduled but interruptable time, and what is client/uninterruptable appointment time. In Teams when I forward plan work, it looks like he cannot interrrupt me ever, or I have to seem like I do 0 work by keeping the calendar empty and not do forward planning ! I would like to use teams as my main calendar, and not have to reference other calendars
