Colour categories in Calendar
It would be really useful for the Outlook colour categories to show in the Teams calendar. I rely heavily on these to make sense of my calendar with a large number of appointments and in the current release of calendar this will make me likely to still revert back to Outlook rather than use Teams for calendar management.

I really like to reuse the Outlook-categories in the teams calender. Coloring is very helpful.

Please add this feature! It will be extremely helpful for my group to differentiate from one-sub group to another. Thanks in advance!

Color coding meetings is super helpful. I really hope this feature can be added to MS Teams.

Tip for categories while we wait: Use emojis.
Press Win + . (period dot) In the 🤍-menu you have colored squares, circles and other shapes.
See attached file.
Hope this simple idea will help someone :) -

I have a very hectic calendar and being able to see at a glance the internal and external meetings (ones I can and cannot get out of respectively!) would be really helpful - please add a colour coding feature to aid with this! :-)

This feature would be very helpful, I'm having to still rely on Outlook for my Calendar due to the color coding feature.

Please include color coding for MS Teams Calendars. I have multiple projects and rely heavily on color coding to keep organized and to not miss important events. The color option greatly improves productivity and helps with time management (can see at a glance vs. searching every time).

If this feature could be added, that would be great! I use colour labels heavily in my calendar and not having this really hamperes the ability to use Teams calendar.

It would be great if the MS team calendars could be colour coded as such that why you’re looking at your general you can tell at a glance what appointment belongs to which team. We use it a lot for different group vacations. Keeping it organized would be much better

I agree! Please, please, PLEASE make this work! It's so confusing seeing everything as the same color!

Upvote. Plus dim past events. Plus all user to set background colour for today.

Just migrating our Shared IT Calendar from Exchange to Teams/SharePoint and all the Categories and colour coding have been lost.
There are small hints of JSON and "add from existing content type" that hint that this is possible.
But found nothing so far that gives us the same user experience that Outlook\Exchange gave us.
Please allow the Category & Colour to sync.

Yes this is strange as we know outlook has this function and its link on to teams . So as I colour code my meeting to help me best manage my time as I get over lapping meetings. So need to understand the severity if a miss one or have to choose the highest priority if a meeting comes in over another.
I do not get this will the TEAMS view of my Calendar and this is a must in the fast flow business of IT security. -

The user experience is fractured between Outlook and Teams. Two calendars creates confusion, particularly when Teams is a subset of Outlook. Adding colour coding to Teams calendar generally and pulling colour settings from Outlook specifically, would go a long way toward addressing this disconnected experience.

I rely on my Teams Calendar and use categories in Outlook for all of my meetings to identify a project, standard meeting and so on, each has a differing colour and would be great if Teams could do this. I keep Teams calendar open on one screen and e-mail on another to manage my day.

We've got users asking for this functionality. Would help for sure with not having to bounce between Teams and Outlook for calendaring.
