Allow Multiple Tabs and Chat Windows.
It is incredibly annoying and the opposite of workflow friendly to have to exit out of an excel or word document when you get a chat message, only to have to go all the way back into the file and hit edit, only to have to log out again to chat. I don't want to have to open the files on my desktop, I want everything staying in the application. Is it really this hard?
Why not let the user decide whether he wants to activate the multi-window option or not? a simple switch in the settings would solve the problem and everyone would be satisfied?
We in the company now have the problem that we have different designs, single and multi window clients, although the same team version number is used ?! reinstallation and deletion of all local and roaming team data did not create a solution. please fixed this problem! In the new client is no switch like "Turn on new meeting experience". Why? Thank you very much!
My last two weeks of work was extremely painful ONLY because Teams doesn't allow me to open two pages simultaneously. I needed one channel to be open all the time, while browsing in other channels. I don't know why chat window has this ability but not channels.
This lack of feature is definitely a productivity killer. Especially when you want to work on multiple collaboration files at the same time, where opening the file on the desktop would not be appropriate. I don't understand what's the point of creating such a "one stop shop" for Microsoft apps but then to make it cumbersome in a way that I dread any upcoming work on it. I'm also clueless on how on this thread : https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16926739-multi-window-for-chats-and-more the only thing noted by the Dev team is the need to have multiple chats at once ?

It would be really beneficial to have multiple tabs with different teams sessions, like having an Excel sheet on one tab and navigating in other teams channels in another tab - similar to browsing the internet with MS Edge
YES, very frustrating and a productivity killer not able to access multiple windows and files.

YES, Please allow more than window / document view - how else can we refer to other data while working within a document that is being discussed during team meeting?

I agree with this suggestion completely. Already this is cumbersome because Teams limits you to only one window and with being able to aggregate multiple applications within Teams (SharePoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, etc...) without the ability to easily switch between "windows", because there is only one, is very frustrating and time-wasting. Please give us the ability to right-click Open New Window for tabs/chats/etc. Thank you.
