Reoccuring National/Regional Holidays in Teams
I can't even believe I need to request this, but here goes. When setting up Auto Attendants in Teams you have the ability to add Organizational Holidays. But this appears to be an EXTREMELY manual process, where I have to manually enter the dates for the Holidays we want to have setup for the Organization.
First issue, is that Holidays are only set per Calendar year, with no obvious way to set them as recurring. So now I have to task someone to remember to update the Holiday Calendar every year, or I guess it looks like maybe you can manually setup multiple future dates for a single holiday. So for instance I want to make Christmas Day a yearly Holiday, I have to manually go in and set Dec 25th for a specific year, at 12:00 AM through Dec 26th for a specific year at 12:00 am off, then I need to manually do that for what the next 20+ years? Adding that one Holiday for then next 20 years will take hundreds of clicks through the UI.
OK, lets not even talk about Holidays that the date changes every year, which is even more burdensome.
How this every got past the first round UI/UX Alpha testing is beyond me. Seriously people should be fired for this level of incompetence.
Here's a suggestion, and I can't believe I have to make this. How about you have a Region selector, you select your Region, and have it Autopopulate a list of all the National/State/Regional Holidays for the region. Then the user simply needs to go in and select a check box and set the Holidays that that are relevant to them (maybe with an additional selection to make it recurring or not).
Then for Custom Holidays how about simple options to make items recurring by actual date or by day of the week or day of the month. ie Thanksgiving is always the 4th Thursday of November, or maybe our business closes the 1st Monday of the Month for Inventory.
Then there should also just be simple setting that allows you to either make Custom Greetings for each Holiday, or simply have the Holiday Trigger the After Hours Greeting.
I can't justify billing a client for 1+ hours for simply adding Holidays to their Auto Attendant which is what this will take. So basically I will have to just give my time away, or risk upsetting clients who will think I'm trying to rip them off.
Come on Guys, get it together, this UX is pathetic.
Absolutely crazy that they don't include common recurring holidays. What in the world Microsoft... seriously?
Yes! I couldn't believe how un-user-friendly the holiday feature was when I first encountered it.

Agreed. I have to set our holidays every year and if I forget to set it, my colleagues will be getting calls on their day off or holiday. We have some country specific holidays on which customers tend to call. If we could make these holidays recurring, I would not even have to look at it anymore.
Might also be convenient to set certain days, rather than dates, as recurring.
For example, we have holidays that are always on the same DAY. Which means that de DATE can change.

I want this
This is a real nuisance. In multiple departments are shortened office hours during summer. Now I either have to set a reminder to change the office hours and the announcment or I have to configure daily "holidays" during this time. As a holiday-object only can handle ten timespans, I then have to create multiple holidays each containing ten timespans that are identical except the date.
The easiest way would be to make the timespans in holiday-object recurring/repeating.
Also wish there was a way to have multiple holidays (with overlapping date) configured on the one Auto Attendant, and then simply prioritise the holiday sets for which to apply during the overlapping dates. Otherwise you need to remove your "Every public holiday" configuration when you need a custom "Christmas closure" route set up.
