Reliability issues: crashing, hanging, freezing
Literally Teams will crash 5 or 6 times a day. Hugely annoying and unproductive.
Same here, I go into teams and I can hear the audio and then suddenly my screen goes black. So since I have to complete my meeting for work, I shut my computer down and I once again open my laptop( Bla,Bla,bla). Then I find out that I missed a session

Since a windows update Driver update on Thursday 11th June, launching a Teams call crashes the Windows Audio Service and therefore sound does not work. Sound works fine in general - only crashes when launching a teams call via web OR client.
Workstation : Dell AIO Optiplex 5270
New driver that crashes : Realtek Semiconductor Corp 6.0.8940.1
We support a number of schools and this issue is spreading like wildfire depending upon when the workstation picks up the update.
Repo steps : Using a workstation that uses this driver, run windows updates. Launch a team call.
THIS PROGRAM IS A GIANT PILE OF **** ITS BEEN FREEZING COMPUTERS FOR MONTHS WITH NO RESOLUTION! AND YES IM YELLING BECAUSE WE PAY FOR IT.
Using Surface Pro with Teams meetings and intermittently the system becomes unresponsive after around 10 minutes in a meeting with video enabled.
Audio continues, but no way to mute / unmute yourself or change camera controls. All control is lost. CPU, GPU and memory appear fine in task manager.
Sometimes the only way to regain control is to do a hard reboot.
This doesn't happen with other VC software: Zooms works brilliantly. You would expect Microsoft Software to work with Microsoft Hardware!
I have only experienced this while working from home. I notice someone here said that the issue doesn't happen on a second screen - perhaps this is why I never saw it in the office?
I created a Microsoft case about this, but the engineers solution was to use the web-app version of Teams. This is not acceptable.
Same issue. It also works fine in the Web app. Web app works fine, but the desktop app freezes all the time with video. Happens with a co-worker as well. Large problem as we are trying to roll out teams across our company.
We have the same problem - I see loads of comments but is anyone receiving and solutions?

This happens to me on a t490 during video calls, its almost always unable to recover and locks the entire system. I have a t480 where this almost never happens, when it does its a resource issue and can be recovered.
My desktop app, Version 1.3.00.15561, Mac OS 10.15.5 has frozen 3 times today after a complete uninstall and reinstall. Most days it freezes at least 3 times. Frustrating.
Ever since I uploaded Windows 10 (March end, 2020), my laptop freezes when I am on a Teams Meeting. Have uninstalled and reinstalled windows and teams multiple times. Helpdesk also couldn't figure out. I have more than 50% storage available on my laptop. I have to reboot multiple times - even then cant use Teams Meetings. I clean up temp files - found some instructions on MS forum. helps some days - others it does not. It is very frustrating. Hoping to get a new laptop. Hopefully - it will help.

I'll add that as of Jun 8 my Surface Pro 5 (2017) exhibits this behaviour frequently. In video calls, the UI freezes while audio goes on. Working from home with kids requires frequent muting of my microphone. So if I'm muted when the UI freezes, I'm then unable to un-mute, or vice versa... This is really turning me off of teams. I love that Teams is a wrapper for all kinds of other stuff, but the teams meeting app has proven to be very problematic.
I'm about to suggest that my org pivot back to Zoom for all video calls as this problem has continued through several app updates and has been a problem since March of this year.

I have the same problem after 10-15 minutes into a Teams video meeting. Other participants stop listen to me well and the CPU usage of my laptop increase significatively. (I have a Lenovo T480 - 32GB RAM and Windows 10 Pro v1909 with latest updates applied). The Ms Teams version installed is 1.3.00.12058 (64-bit) (updated on May 28th) and this symptom started during the last week.
I'll appreciate any help regarding it.

Is there a solution to this problem yet? I have the same one similar faulting module moduleRTWorkQ.DLL Is this something related to realtek?
App crashes always on widows machine
does not like to work on chrome after a few min.
When I use TEAMs from my desktop it always freezes & max. memory utilization
Same here. 10-20 minutes into a Teams meeting video freezes, locks up the surface pro. Hard boot to recover. Teams is a bummer!

While in Quarantine my school is using teams as their method of posting assignments and video calling for checking in on the students and more. I have a Chromebook (I use the Teams app from the Play Store) and the app has a lot of issues.
The problems I've found are that --
The teams app crashes constantly
During video calls the call randomly ends and the teacher
must start a new one
There is a major bug with the assignment page (it shows no
assignments, when in fact there are multiple)
During video calls you can only see four people (please add
a Grid View option)
and a lot of the functionality is not offered on the app version
Thank you, Chad Fink
The UI on my Surface for Teams freezes but the app keeps working. If I use the keyboard to move Teams to a second screen, it does move and is usable. The frozen image remains on the Surface Screen. I have not seen it freeze when on my second screen - but it is not often there.

I have been having the same issues. Windows 10 Desktop Fully up to date. During a video call first locks up video then mouse and keyboard input. This happens to the point where you cannot get to Task manager to kill it. Then all of my monitors goes black. Audio typically continues for a while. Only option I have is to literally shut my entire machine down via hard reboot.
Teams has froze on the startup screen on my ipad, I now am unable to do anything on my ipad besides turn it on and off. I can't leave the app nor can I close it. My ipad now refuses to hard reset or any equivalent of that. I need teams for my school work and I need my ipad for my schoolwork.
