Reliability issues: crashing, hanging, freezing
Literally Teams will crash 5 or 6 times a day. Hugely annoying and unproductive.
Feature teams have been finding unique areas of improvement around crashes/hangs/lock ups of the client, and have been making small improvements through both proactive and reactive findings to help around reliability regressions. If you happen to see any unique issues, please let us know and we will continue to share updates as they become available.
This happens to my daughters brand new laptop. I thought it was lack of memory so I upgraded to 16gb instead of 4gb and it still happens in both the desktop app and the web based option.

I experience the same problem. When I use ppt in presentation mode, it freezes for the audience. I continue passing the slides, and the audience only sees the first slides.

I have been looking for this feature.
Freezing shared screen would be great!
I can't even open the App, every time I open open it my pc freezes and I have to restart the pc manually and even after that it works for a few swconds and then freezes again
I am seeing this issue with our Lenovo T and P series laptops accompanied with a Gen 2 USB-C docking station.
Is there a fix or work around for this issue ? It's driving me crazy
This issue seems to have gotten worse over the last couple of weeks to the point where my firm have over 50 open service tickets relating to freezing machines in connection with Office 365 (which we now have isolated to MS Teams). I find it unacceptable that Microsoft have not put out a statement on the issue which they must be aware of. Thanks to google, we now know this is a much wider issue.
We've uninstalled the app and have reverted to the online version which has got us going again at least
There's a beautiful workaround for this that I came across on reedit.
Go into DEVICE MANAGER
Scroll down to Sound, Video and Game Controllers (expand)
Double Click "Realtek Audio"
Click Driver Tab
Click Update Driver
Click Browse My Computer for Driver Software (Locate and install driver software manually)
Click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"
Select "High Definition Audio Device"
A pop-up will state "Installing this device driver is not recommended because Windows cannot verify that it is compatible with your hardware..."
Click Yes to the pop-up
You will receive a screen that states "Windows has successfully updated your drivers"
Click Close again
Answer yes to RESTART YOUR COMPUTER NOW

Yes...Teams App constantly freezes for a few seconds. Happens to me mostly when switching between Chats, which I do all day long.
@Microsoft, please escalate this issue. We are getting multiple staff complaining about this and there is not much we can do about it. Need a fix for this ASAP
please make a native app and get rid of this electron app please.

Many times while in a discussion about a topic, it is useful as presenter to search for content related while not showing the audience the search process.
Like everyone else on this thread....Microsoft Teams on my NEW laptop freezes multiple times throughout my online learning class. I can still hear the session for a little bit while everything is frozen, mouse disabled also, I have to do a hard shutdown to re-enter the teams.
This is becoming really painful & annoying. I have 16 weeks of this class - 2 days per week.
I WOULD APPRECIATE IF MICROSOFT CAN LOOK INTO THIS ONGOING ISSUE.
My comment would be the same as Anonymous on June 30. That is exactly the situation. I want to leave up a powerpoint slide for the students but then still be able to go use my computer for other things.

Teams is constantly freezing during my video calls with clients, but I can still hear and see them. I have to call back in using my phone and have my colleagues share their screen on my behalf so I can continue presenting. It’s so unacceptable how many complaints you’ve received and yet you’ve done nothing to resolve the issue. Fix your ****.
This is also happening for me. Nothing that support can do. Hopefully this gets resolved in a patch

https://status.office365.com/ indicates that it was caused by an implemented change. There is no fix from a user end, this is all on Microsoft to resolve.
