Screen share & "Pause" display
When presenting (or screen sharing) allow presenter ability to "pause" display. Participants will see what was last displayed while presenter edits or calls up a new document to share.
It's a shame a big developer like Microsoft cannot add an important feature like screen pausing This makes me lean towards ZOOM for my teaching.
This is a vital feature. Need to be able to keep the current view while presenter finds something else on desktop and not be shared

Yes, need to be able to pause on Teams. Vital to smooth presentation strategy.

The pause feature is a vital function used during live audit walkthrough with clients and state/federal examiners. Without this feature, coordinating and preparing screens to show once the examiner is ready to move forward is extremely difficult. The ability to share 1 application/screen at a time is not sufficient. Please ensure the pause display function is made available.
Yes, this is a vital feature and I am really surprised that Microsoft don't have this. You need to be able to pause at a certain slide or section and be able to return to it again afterwards.
It is a nightmare - presenting some slides, then switching to a live demo, then trying to return to your slides and finding that the presentation is right back at the start again ! You then have to flick through all the slides you've already talked about to get back to the right place. When you are trying to deliver a session to 250 university students, it looks really unprofessional and is no joke!
Protip: Use a bug in place of a feature. Share just the specific window you want to share, and then minimize it. Teams will say "Where's your Window? Pausing share until you bring the window back." Somehow they can't code a button that allows you to do this on purpose without having to do some hacky workaround.
Pausing would be such a great option. Also, not having to go into meeting options for each meeting to select that everyone can bypass the lobby as well as turning off the announcements for when guest enter and exist.

It would be super enabling to allow users to pause their presentaiton screen to quickly switch between different apps for collaborative or iterative work, and also just double check what they are going to share is what they want to show. Makes it much more seamless of a viewing experience.

We have switched to Teams for all internal meetings but not willing to make the switch away from Zoom until this feature is available. When you lead sales/product demos with customers you often need to pull up real live examples, specific slides which you may not have open, etc, and do not want your customer to see you doing that on the screen. Stopping the share altogether is not an option because it's too obvious and highly distracting for the attendees. Pause is required for Teams to be a viable tool for more than just internal meetings.
Our company is forced to use another screen sharing package, because they are unable to pause the screen. For example if they are doing a Demo of something and the demo has an issue, they can Pause not stop the sharing and then unpause it, like every other platform can do.
