Add an option to disable auto-adjusting mic level
When on the call the Teams will automatically adjust the mic sensitivity level. I want it to stay at the same level. It's really annoying as it picks up background sounds when not talking. Also, it doesn't readjust it after the call, so i.e. if I had set level 50% before the call the Teams will readjust it to 80% and it will stay at 80% after the call has ended. This forces me to keep manually adjusting the mic level. It's a minor thing, but really infuriating. Would be really great, to just have a checkbox to disable mic level adjusting.
Thank you for your continued feedback. The team has placed this item on their backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
I have an SM7B and a Scarlett 2i2 USB interface. There is a good reason for this- I am on Teams LITERALLY all day long. And I want to sound as crisp as possible. I can't because you can't make this (seemingly) simple fix.

When using any kind of microphone which has gain controls e.g. my Behringer C1 connected to my UMC22, this destroys the quality when in a teams call. the Gain needs to be turned down in Windows cause of the audio interface.

This is causing constant grief for us in classrooms for hybrid learning while some students are self-isolating, particularly where the classroom architecture creates reverb. We are wasting time every single day fighting this, and a single tickbox for "do not adjust volume automatically" would save us--without exaggeration--hours a week.

Please have this option available, with some USB mics, it cuts off the mic completely by constantly adjusting it to 0 level.
For all I care, the Autoadjust can be completely disabled, then we don't need a button to turn the bug on and off.
My Mac is often loud because of the fan and I disrupt the meeting every time because the mic level adjusts to the fan sound and not my voice.
I strongly request to fix this bug. Because this cannot be a feature.
Thank you very much.

We have users that can't use Teams calls any more, because the audio send through is so quite, it is impossible to hear. If the other person increases volume, the background white noise also increases, making it an terrible experience. Fix ASAP needed for affected users!
You either don't want to fix it or you can't. I don't know what is worse. The solution is obviously to turn away from teams.
I have a mini studio setup and I can't tell you how irritating it is that, even though I have 'allow applications to control yadayada' disabled, Teams still sets my volume to 54% automatically. I take big issue Windows being able to control audio itself anyway, but this is just ridiculous! It means my mic's very quiet.

We are finding that in classrooms with reverb or an echo the Teams volume goes to zero and stays there. We are having to fix this by using a virtual cable which our users quite frankly can't 'get their heads around'. Please give us the option to turn off auto control and set our own volumes very soon.
For a plattform thats currently mainly used for its voice/Meeting capabilities something like this shouldnt be on the blacklog!
I thought I'm just too dumb to set up the configuration correctly until I found out that this issue is exclusive to teams, even with the windows setting checkbox being disabled. It doesn't occur in Mumble, Discord, Teamspeak, Audacity, Slack, Zoom, Telegram/Signal Calls and so on..

My mic level descends to 0% and when I increase the level, it goes back to 0 automatically.

Back log.. comon allready.!!
The mic gain on my Blue Yeti Nano always shoots up all the way up to 100 in a Microsoft Teams call. This is infuriating and ridiculous. Please fix this.
really annoying, that MS Teams is the only app that puts microphone sensitivity to 0 despite desactivated control box in settings. How long must we continue to suffer?

Prezados engenheiros Microsoft.
6 months later this is still an issue. I know Teams has many issues (and I know updates have been released since November) but this should be an easily added function.
Can you PLEASE FIX this?!

There is a simple fix to this. Nircmd will allow you to set the volume every 0.5 s.
nircmd setsysvolume 65535 default_record
nircmd loop 172800 500 setsysvolume 62000 default_record

This feature is really affecting other programs I am running. I use multiple communication programs and teams sitting in the background is dialing my volume all the way to around zero! Unacceptable!
