Add an option to disable auto-adjusting mic level
When on the call the Teams will automatically adjust the mic sensitivity level. I want it to stay at the same level. It's really annoying as it picks up background sounds when not talking. Also, it doesn't readjust it after the call, so i.e. if I had set level 50% before the call the Teams will readjust it to 80% and it will stay at 80% after the call has ended. This forces me to keep manually adjusting the mic level. It's a minor thing, but really infuriating. Would be really great, to just have a checkbox to disable mic level adjusting.
Thank you for your continued feedback. The team has placed this item on their backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

I have the opposite issue where Teams (Windows 10 app) is auto-adjusting an external USB mic to 0%!!! I have no issues with the mic on other programs. :-(

This auto gain feature is going to be a deal breaker . We are all finding this unworkable and should be taken out of the backlog and brought into an upcoming sprint. It’s causing major issues within our team.

It's 100% unacceptable that Teams has made it this far into COVID-19 and STILL has forced auto-adjust.
I need the mic to STAY at 70% or the people I talk to lose their hearing. This seems like someone's high school kid has programmed Teams and don't know how to fix or introduce features. Get the *** going, Microsoft. -

WTF bro....I know you guys buy other companies' innovations and then they end up in some legacy pipeline where new features and fixes come out at a snail's pace compared to a smaller and more agile firm, but collab is a hot market and like thousands of others have already said, this feature is basic table stakes. You can be better, MS, please do.

I really need this - I cannot use my yeti nano mic at all with Teams as it keeps auto setting the gain to zero. Randomly other mics/headsets have the same issue. It's massively inconvenient and embarrassing when it happens as there is nothing you can do.

I have a RODE NT USB. It works will all but with Team`s due to auto audio adjustment issue. This will completely reduce the volume to 0.

During this COVID-19 period where most to all meetings are online, please fix this with prio. Teams need to support HQ mic's

Do Microsoft intend to fix or introduce a checkbox option in the (very) near future? My mic input volume is constantly decreased to near zero mid-call, and it only happens in Teams.
I have been recommending we have meetings on other platforms (Zoom, etc.) as a result, only using Teams out of necessity. It is very poor that such an issue was reported more than a year ago and still remains.
Please sort it out.
