Allow hide/collapse command meeting bar
During a meeting or a call, it could be allowed to hide/collapse the command bar where it contains those commands like video, mute, add participants even when moving the mouse on normal screen. Today this bar is only hidden when you do not move the mouse.

Two years later and multiple suggestions on this site to fix this... not going to happen. As a result I never recommend Teams to my co-workers or clients. I am curious if this Uservoice has ever produced any results or if it is just a place for angry users to rant. I have multiple Teams meetings every week taking language lessons. After the meeting starts in Teams I always have my teacher switch to Zoom.

This task/control bar is covering portions of slides during presentations, and is highly disruptive. MS, you must add the ability to reposition or hide this bar on demand. The current scheme is unacceptable.

Would love to have this in the New Meeting experience. I know the New Meeting experience control bar is at the top and not on the window, but I would love to have an on/off option to use that permanent control bar screen real estate for the presentation iteself.

the meeting control bar loves to pop up and obscure powerpoint text! please let me permanently disable it or move it somewhere. This is so frustrating.

If you click in the Meeting window and move the cursor out of the window as the meeting bar disappears, then it stays hidden - for a while. Very annoying.

When I'm on a meeting and someone else is sharing their screen, the only way to get it out of the screen is to actually click on the meeting screen. Then once I move my mouse away from the Teams screen, it immediately comes back. It's hiding content that I need to see and is extremely annoying. It's crazy how far behind MS Teams is. Microsoft can do better, I'm convinced they choose not to.

This will no longer be an issue with the new Calling Experience, the bar will be docked at the top https://www.onmsft.com/news/microsoft-teams-to-get-new-meeting-and-calling-experience-in-june

Has this really been requested by over 500 users for two years? I don't understand why the Microsoft Teams experience is so subpar to Zoom. This command bar is moveable in Zoom so it's not covering critical information or faces on the screen. Also why do we have to pay extra to be able to dial into a meeting on the phone when Zoom doesn't charge extra for that?

Meeting Control Bar disappears resulting in missed notifications during a presentation
Teams meeting control bar disappear when sharing a PowerPoint presentation, this results in not seeing raised hands or chat notifications. Can the toolbar be kept visible at the bottom just to the presenter Or for it to re-appear if there are any notifications?

This annoying bug has been since +2 years, yet they don't listen to their users. Meanwhile they keep adding worthless **** that ruins performance and you realize Teams is using 900mb of memory.

Please implement this change. The bar blocks slide content and sometimes the delay is too long after I stop moving my mouse and I miss slide details. The current static location is a horrible user experience. You should be able to move, minimize or pop-out the command bar.

Yes, The meeting bar often hides critical slide information or app screen controls during instruction. A better interface would allow users to move and pin this bar to a desired portion of the screen as well as hide/collapse.

The toolbar hovering over displayed text on the screen is very annoying during a meeting. Almost more annoying is how much time is wasted during the meeting because everyone is complaining about how frustrating the toolbar is. I captured all the requests that I could find quickly that are tied to moving/hiding the meeting command bar and populating here to hopefully draw greater attention to this request: I tallied over 500 total requests to provide an alternate solution.

I noticed that when the toolbar stays up after a screen share is started there is white box around either the time or the voice mute button. If I click anywhere in a blank area, the white box disappears and in a few moments the toolbar does, too.

One more comment.. People are fleeing from ZOOM.. This is a good time for Microsoft to capture the video conferencing interest..BUT the features need to be equal to zoom or better.. for instance, a call in capability without purchasing a conference module should be standard..

In a meeting, we sometimes need to be able to take a screen shot of a shared screen, without this control bar in the way.. to be able to reposition, drag the box somewhere else or minimize it would be great!
Also, the Attendee Participants view (20% of the screen taken) needs to be treated the same, so we can enjoy a FULL SCREEN view

This should be such a basic fix, please allow the command bar to be minimised at least

Looking at older MS Teams UserVoice posts, this issue has been raised for at least TWO years. It should be a simple request to implement. It would also make Teams work like most other programs. Often the HUGE toolbar blocks content when someone else is sharing a screen. There is no way to move it or get rid of it. What happened to basic pin/hide/minimize controls? Teams has a lot of good points, but has missed on many of the basic features and UX including copy/paste/move threads, autocorrect, and minimize the toolbar.

Yes, I find this HUGE bar to be very distracting! Please make it a lot smaller and either stop it from covering up a shared screen or enable the user to move it somewhere out of the way. THANK YOU!
