Yes please! The inability to pop out any view type is a source of frustration for myself and colleagues.

now that there are custom tabs, would be great if those could pop out into a separate window

I would love to be able to pop out anything within Teams, whether a specific Team, Channel, tab within a channel, especially the feed. I do like the Activity Feed, but I have to leave what I'm doing in one channel/tab to go see what's in my feed. Not productive! Seems like many of us are used to being able to have multiple windows open, and everything self-contained in Teams is proving to be a challenge and less-productive.

You can already pop out chats. Just mouseover the chat you want to pop (see screenshot).
I think a better suggestion would be to be able to drag and drop chats on top of each other to stack them in a single window similar to Skype instead of having a bunch of little chat windows open everywhere. Popping out video chat would definitely be nice because it makes it harder to see both the call and other things in Teams simultaneously. -

I must say the inability to do have multiple windows is quite pathetic, particularly from a company whose flagship product is named Windows.
I remember seeing a Windows 95 presentation that simultaneously formatted a floppy disk and watched a movie trailer. Considering the sad state of regression, they should cut the plural and name their latest product Window 11.

You can pop out chats (use the ... next to the person name), but that is the only thing. would LOVE to have video meetings pop out, so i can use 2 screens

I would like to take this further and allow you to pop-out an individual chat (specific person). There are people I chat with all day and having to bounce around in Teams is a waste of time. This is where Skype of Business was way better.

I agree, I often have to chat will listening to other meetings, see participates and take notes all at the same time. For now the work around is to open the team meeting in Edge as well as Desktop Client, then open oneNote to take meeting notes. So, I feel like this limits Teams as the one stop shop for all my apps for a business team.

YAAAAAS! The thing I miss most from Skype is being able to pop out separate chat windows. I have TWO MONITORS in this wacky modern world. I would like to be able to have my Teams meeting in one window on one monitor, and be able to have separate internal side conversations in multiple chat windows on my other monitor.

The fact that I can't chat someone and video call someone at the same time makes me red in the face, I am so triggered, I'm bordering on turbo-triggered.

definitely need this with Video - very irritating when watching a long video to have to close it to attend to other things in Teams, only to then find it doesn't even remember my position when I open up the video again

I've been using Teams for a short while and have already run into issues where I have to navigate somewhere else and then navigate back. This would be a handy option to have if I could just pop one item into a new window and switch back and forth.
